Tighten up the ship day. Cleaning, bill paying, shopping. That's a full day right there. Tomorrow being Mothers Day, I won't make any plans. I'm sure the mothers have plans for me. Sunday will be a "Yes dear" day. No .... they are not all "Yes dear" days, Matt. That's just not in my nature. If I was a Yes man I wouldn't need a doghouse. Bow-wow m'er f'er, bow-wow.

Good Morning CGs!

Well, today is supposed to be day two of our garage sale. Day one was somewhat slow being it was a Friday. Today is actually a "community" garage sale that the village hosts and advertises in the paper, etc. Lots of turn out for that. Of course, it's pouring rain outside. We did make enough room in our garage (and I cleaned) that that everything fits, but there is so little room to walk it's not really practical. But that's what we'll have to do. Actually the wife and BIL, I have to go to work. We made $79.50 yesterday. Not worth it to me for all the work involved plus sitting around for hours. I'd rather box it up and off to goodwill. If today nets a few hundred, then I'll be happy.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Hopefully breakfast in bed, a rose petal shower, foot massage, cars washed, floors scrubbed, house cleaned, garbage taken out, bills paid, grass cut, animals fed, and anything else that you can think of?

Wives don't easily forget as us men do

If that happened here it wouldn't be from me.

In this house it's breakfast in the family room, shower, and I'll put warm water in the electric foot massager.

When you look up "romance" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of Tommy T-Bone. Well, half of a picture, at least.

Not sure if my plan today is anywhere near as romantic as the rest of the guru's..

I am running a series of fuel flow tests on the vette today. Since my fuel system couldnt keep up at the dyno last week I'm going to try and pinpoint the problem. I plan to be very methodical - assuming the flow isnt what it should be (should see the equivalent of about 70 gallons per hour) then I will be changing/replacing one thing at a time.

I will post up the results!

Har! Had to get up earlier than usual, as a chair is being delivered somewhere between 8 and noon. Since I was ready at 7:30, they'll be here at noon. Outdoor chores weekend here - first weekend in a month that it hasn't rained.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Quick trip to Kansas to see Ma and try to get her cell phone worked out. Someone at Vorizen sold her a phone for 20 bucks and she put 10 bucks on it for phone time. At .25 cents a minute that did not last long and she did not understand you have to keep feeding it money. I was on the phone with her last week and the call went dead in the middle of a sentence because she ran out of minutes.

So I went to the store and delt with the sales children. She had some kind of 6 month contract that they were not going to let her out of......we got that fixed....then I had them just add the new phone to my accout since the phone she had was a prepay only phone we had to get a new phone for $129 less mail in 50 dollar rebate.....I told them I needed the rebate now which somehow they did. I hate mail in rebates......

Soooo she got a new phone and won't be troubled with a bill every month and I will pay 10 bucks more which is no big deal. Lots of stress in this modern life we live....

The car ran great, smooth and fast. On the way down I got in with some fast movers. A Caddy CTS-V and a MB E320. The Caddy took point...he must have had protection on because we were running 85 on four lane 81 south. I had the rocking chair with the 320 following up. We ran about 60 or 70 miles that way until I had to turn off on hiway 24 headed east. I hated to lose the escort.

On the return trip I took blue highways all the way home....nice!

Have a good day off Guru's.....

Also in reference to the "rocking seat" issue on C5 seats these are the little culprits

Good afternoon, all!

A quiet weekend at home, for which I am grateful. My left knee seems to be getting back to normal after last Sunday.

We've never seen the rocking seat issue on our 2003, but we've got a lot of friends who've had it.

Those look very cool TBee....can't wait to hear how they work....I don't mind paying if you get some quality work.

I still got your seat fix parts...winter project on the interior I'm thinking......Although I kinda like the rocking back and forth going down the road....like I'm on my front porch...

John what's up with the knee? I must have missed that....

BWWAAHHHHAAA!!!!!!! That's hilarious!

Good luck with the garage sale, Matt.
I should've had one instead of giving all my crap to the ex.
No 'romantic' plans here today - I'm not a mom and my mom passed three years ago. She'd been 80 today. I took some flowers to the cemetery, ate my salad for lunch, then mite have a nap and a beer or two later - nothing special.
My Florida friend is here visiting his folks and some old friends he's not seen in 20 years, I'm providing room and board for the weekend to save him on hotel fees - I'm central to all those he's visiting. We might get the grill out later..

I went and filled the propane tank. Stopped by a local Hispanic oriented grocery store. They do meat a little differently than in the other chains around here. You can pick a big hunk of meat and they'll cut it any way you want. Hamburger, cubed steak, chunk meat for stew. Just tell them what you want and the meat cutters do it. Most of the Hispanic chains down here do that also. I wasn't there for that though. They had some beef loin tenderloin on sale for $6.99 a lb. Picked up two loins just under 4 lbs each. I brought them home, cut them up, bagged and froze some. Then I fired up the grill and made some for dinner. Having some sweet potatoes and cauliflower with it. Just waitin for Sue to get home. She should be here soon. Hard workin women gotta eat. ......... Well .... the lazy ones too. They can have beans and franks.

I knew sitting down was a mistake - I'm stiffer than a plank now! We got a lot done today - edged the yard (corner lot, lots of edge), took down the lattice under the deck, primed and painted the frames, re-installed the lattice, finished up the last lattice panel and some other trim, and a couple other odds and ends. Nice to have that out of the way, been dreading it.

Man .... Do I know what you're talking about. I've suffered from that for 35 years now. I usually start moving and keep moving. Stiffness sets in and I have to loosen up all over again. Back after Hurricane Andrew, I used to come home, change clothes, eat while moving and put in a few hours before bedtime. If i sat, my day was done. I still do the same thing now. Once I start working, I keep working. Even a ride to HD or Lowes is all the time it takes to stiffen up. Doctors told me it was osteo-arthritis. I have symtoms similar to fibromyalga too but to date I've never got the correct diagnosis. I gave up seeking an answer and just do what works for me. Bend and stretch, reach for the sky and keep moving.
