Good Morning CGs!

Rained last night because I washed my car, so you can blame it on me Of course, we still have a ton of left over garage sale crap in the garage, so my car has been sleeping outside the past week. I just want it all gone. Wife was still contemplating another garage sale. A couple days ago a friend's sister came over and looked through it, took about 60 pieces of girls' clothing. We tried to just give it to her but she refused and paid us. She is sending it over to Poland for family members and it saved her a lot of money getting it from us, but still. It's our neighbor's sister and we help each other out all the time, who cares about some baby clothing???

Glad I don't have to work downtown. All this NATO crap is a real pain in the butt for everyone. Closing streets, changing bus and train routes, they had two protests last night, etc. I will be glad when it's all over.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

My mother used to go to Slovakia with full suitcases of stuff for the relatives and come back with full suit cases of stuff from there. They love getting stuff from the States. I remember coming back with her from Germany and we a had a set of dishes all boxed up in seperate boxes. There were about a dozen boxes wrapped in brown paper and twine. The German customs officials wanted to look in every box before we boarded the plane. What a PIA that was. I remember going through Czechoslovakian Customs upon entering that country in 1972. They made me strip. The only good thing was they didn't do a cavity search. Still, it was eye opening for a 16 y/o to go through that. I remember we went by a Russian military outpost when were there. My uncle was none to thrilled about it. The Russians had sent him to Siberia for 6 years back in the 1940's.

I have a small job to go to today. I'm taking the crew and fertilizing all the plants on a property they just cleaned up. Should be a 3 or 4 hour job. That will break my current two day record of not doing much of anything. Have a great day everyone. No matter how bad you think we have it here, it's way worse in most other places.

Morning Guru's....Tommy I think more corn is the answer to all our problems.....just saying....

I was reading in the new Corvette mag about these guys who stuck about 15 large into a new ZR1 and took it to the Texas Mile. It would run the 1/4 in 9.7 sec but they wanted to break 200 mph at the Mile. Didn't happen because the outside air temps were so hot the computer kept retarding the engine.......What did win the Texas Mile was an 87 C4 who hit 211 mph using an unblown engine with a single 4bbl carb. So much for high tech.....Nice, I love it!

Well I better get going....the govt going to need a lot more money so I better start making it so they can have it.....let's be careful out there Guru's.

Here is vids of the Texas Mile from this year. It shows the ZR1 Lethal 1 and the 87. Must be classes because some cars were running a lot faster......I think this would be very fun.....

Greetings! I was invaded by a co-worker with a problem as soon as I sat down this morning, so the day was off to a rip-roaring start. Oh well, his problem is solved so hopefully the rest of the day will be quiet. 70's and sunny today - the day would be much better spent somewhere else.

Morning guys...I had an ok night. Two bad spells, but nothing a couple of pills and a shot couldn't fix. The doc was in, answered some questions and told me that I was doing great. Told me to expect some regression today as the block continues to wear off, but then gains after that.

I know the feeling... left Thursday and boss had me schedule a wrap install for Tuesday/Wednesday - well he ran behind so it will be Wed/Thurs. Lots of miscommunication - boss forgot what he told me, called me stupid, a liar and cussed and all that - I shot back with a 'STFU' and some of my own mess - then employee that's driving the wrapped car knew it would be two days, but didn't tell his boss that, so boss calls me mad as hell too - so had to put that fire out. The guys' boss told me to work with the employee on scheduling so I did... just not in the mood today.
Hope you all have a great hump day...

Afternoon guys...PT went well this morning, waiting for second round now. They are very pleased with my progress. I have to be at 85 degrees before I am dismissed, I was already at 90 this morning. They are letting go to the bathroom now...better than peeing in the bottle.

Sounds good T.

The whiners are screwed when they have that type of surgery. Being that you are not a lay back and whine kinda guy and the recovery from surgery seems to be coming along, I'm sure you'll make steady progress.

Alrighty then, managed to get the pickup bed washed out and clean.
I like it when it's clean, it discourages more projects.

The Lie Clock: A man died and went to heaven.. As he stood in front of St.
Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He
asked, "What are all those clocks?"

St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a.
Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move."

"Oh,' said the man, "whose clock is that?"

"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she.
never told a lie."

"Incredible,' said the man. "And whose clock is that one?" St. Peter
responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice,
telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."

"Where's Obama's clock?" asked the man.

"Obama's clock is in Jesus' office... He's using it as a ceiling fan."

From what I could tell looked like she was adjusting a huge black strap on. I started to post the pic but got interrupted and forgot about it.
If you have photoshop, open the .gif and select view animations under 'window'.. you can see each slide that way.
