Got the grass cut, cleaned up a bit in the garage and got rid of a couple gallons of waste oil and scrap metal, tinkered with a few other little things. Got in a workout and relaxed for a few minutes. Not a bad day overall. Supposed to be 81 today and 90 something tomorrow. My two goals coming up at 1) open the pool (need the chemicals and 2 orings) and 2) fix the ac in my car. I need to order the 134 kit, an accumulator, and an orifice tube for the car still. My neighbor has a vacuum pump and Rick has a set of gauges. We'll see when I get around to that. Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew

Remember when you were a teenager and you woke up with a smile, ready to take on a new day not knowing what was in store, but somehow knew you were going to have fun. I still have that feeling today. It's just buried under a small mountain of general body aches, blurred vision, fatigue and the thoughts of what I might get done today. Somewhere under all that there is still a feeling that somehow I might have some fun. Yep, there is still hope. There is still desire. There is still a little devil inside.

I had a couple times where I couldn't get comfy, but a few minutes later I'd be back asleep. PT again this morning. They are talking about our first 100 degree day today and the wind blowing about 25-30 and gusts above that.Not going to be a fun day in SW Kansas.

Two years ago his son and his sons' gf were in the garage working with the kerosine heater blowing away. It some how got knocked over and the garage and all it's contents went up in smoke. He replaced the garage and the tools but his cars are now only found in pictures.

Another milestone they worked me pretty hard today, came back sweating. And now they want me to start walking down to the corner and back. I can do that. The heat hasn't hot here yet...not sure it's going to get to 100 today, darn (insert sarcastic econ here). The north breeze is still blowing and the clouds are still hanging in. Great Bend drag strip is hosting a big event this weekend, too bad I can't make it.

The PT today told me that she wanted me to start walking a little outside. So after a little rest from therapy and a little lunch I set out. The wife and I went out and headed north to the end of the block and back. Then we headed south to the end and back. I have to admit, that wore my arse out....time for a little nap.

We're putting in a little patio behind the garage, so I shoveled out a bunch of rock, unloaded over 3000 lb. of pavers and sand, put down some class-5 and compacted it, and then it started to rain, so I tarped it up and here I am. Think I'll go hunt for my bottle of Aleve.

I was emailed another ad from that time era the other day that was supposed to be telling folks that sugar is not really bad for them or fattening and shows a woman licking an ice cream cone head. Hmmmm. a LOT of those old ads got away with stuff like that. Well I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend, I ran off and am in Milton. FL, near Pensacola. Anyone near here? Is there any vette places here that I can go prowl around at? I drove in daytime this time and man stuff sure looks different. I'll be going home in the daytime Monday also and made notes of a couple of things I wanted to stop and see. Was too sleepy coming in to mess with stuff. Worked my arm into that tiny hole around my headlight on the C5 also to change the blinker light up there and it was simply loose all this time. Figures. Anyone need two new bulbs? Ugh... more shit for my storage bin...

Taking a bare yard and turning into a masterpiece. They make it look like all it takes is a few good hours of hard work. In Florida we work year round in the yard. I tell my neighbors it's a work in progress that will never be 100% done. That's the truth.
