I had a passing thought that I might goof off today.

Ha,ha,ha,ha!

It passed quickly. My wife brought home some tomato plants. That means I have to add dirt to the plant bed. Fence in the area to keep out critters.(the pigs) And I found a few other jobs to go along with it. It only goes to show ..... It's always sumpthin. What I need to do is put in a full week like a work week. I goof off so much every day and just do a few jobs. BillH is a negative influence.
Gotta blame somebody.
So I'm gonna have my second cup of coffee then get crackin. Wifey is workin an event.
At least the will be quiet most of the time.

Ring ........ ring ............ ring ....... Hello!

Good Morning CGs!

Spent some time yesterday working on the yard, garage, etc. Got the sprinkler system winterized and then helped the neighbor across the street do his. Also cleaned up some of the outdoor decorations and stored them for when the cold weather hits.

In the evening we took the kids to the movies to see Ice Age 4. I was very impressed with how well RR#2 acted while watching the movie. He pretty much sat through the entire thing quietly until the last 10 minutes or so. Couldn't have asked for more.

Rained quite a bit yesterday and I think we are expecting more today. I have some more tinkering to do around the house, maybe I'll get a chance to work on the car. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning guys...I have a short meeting this afternoon. That's about it for me. I may come home and go work on my daughters table I;m building. We are headed to KC next weekend, it would be nice to have it done to take, but I have a lot to do if that is to happen.

Morning everyone...another weekend found me getting the wifes Continental repaired; the drivers side tank had a 3 inch leak on the drivers side tank...glad thats over with and she's a happy camper once again.

Now it's the 'vettes turn; I went to open the passengers side window and it started falling forward instead of going down straight...sigh...it's always something. I hope I catch Red Bull Stratos today..it should be interesting.

On the bright side, no rain here and a nice 68 degrees at 7:30

Greetings! I slept in like a champ again, though I didn't get to sleep until quite late. That was quite a turn of events in the Detroit-NY game, indeed. I hate the Yankees, but it was a shame for Jeter to get hurt like that. Today I plan to sharpen my couch-denting skills, and then later if it dries out, I'll go tuck the Vette away.

Have a good one, Gurus!

We just watched a guy do a freefall jump from 128,000 feet - he was going over 700mph. Incredible! I'm not sure how he managed to fit his balls into the suit he was wearing.

Today was a good day to work. Wife took the kids to church then a baby shower. I cleaned up the house a bit and went to work in the garage. I modified the throttle bracket for the superram. It was easier than I thought it would be. TV cable adjusts fine with the change. I also reoriented the distributor cap 90* so it won't hit the SR. That invoked some grinding inside the cap as well. Got other little things hooked up, too. All that's left is 8 pipe plugs for the old nos ports, set idle and timing, fill radiator, and sand and paint the tb bracket (I used jb weld so it has to harden). Looking forward to firing it up.

If I was, you'd still be autocrossing....and dreaming about the big boy track.

Lucked out today.

Took some Red Cross people on check rides.

Had a C6, the guy was fast, well, faster than the novices.

Had a C5, the guy was relatively fast and needed tweeked a bit. At the end of the day, had to tell him that he was at max in 3 corners (another mph and you may spin). but it sure was fun.
Corvettes are made to be driven.

Took the C4 out and blew off a C5 and a couple Miatas.

Can't imagine a better weekend......unless I was actually racing.

Worn out and dragging ass tonight. Settled on a new house last Monday and it has been steady working on it all week to get it ready. Movers start tomorrow, two days to pack our 'stuff', one day to load, two days to unload. This is not going to be fun.

We ended up passing on the house I showed pictures of before. I figured it needed $40,000, maybe $50,000 to fix it up again (foreclosure empty for 3 yrs). But my contractor said more like $80,000 so we passed on it, but I think we found something even better.

Tom the table looks good and your GS is getting big...

Brad its a sad commentary on the times....when I see your car put away for the winter....Maybe you should get a place in Pheonix and you could keep your C4 there year round....then you could keep the C6 up in igloo land...

Spending other folks money is a hobby for me....I love it and I'm good at it.....
