I found this funny.
This lady takes her truck to the local shop to check her truck out for a coolant leak. She tells them pressure test & advize me. BTW I REFER ALOT OF MECHANICAL WORK TO THEM....(Rant) She signed nothing, only wanted cooling system checked out. Next thing you know the shop took the engine apart with out authorization, and wants $3800.00 to put her truck back together with a new engine...... HAHAHA! GUESS WAT! 1) She is my MOTHER ! 2) I am an engine builder. Poor choices to say the least . |

I asked them to put all the parts in the back of her truck, and I will tow it to my shop.... That is all. Poor choice on that shop. I will fix Mom's truck

That's a major "WTF". I'd be afraid to take my car there for an oil change. They might try to drain it starting from the oil cap down. I wouldn't get upset about it either though. Just one quick call to Guido. I'd let him and Angelo go talk to him about it.

They think just cause she's an older lady she's stupid? #(&$(#*%^&*$(*#$)*@#$ I HATE people like that. That's why when I had my C4 I learned everything I could to try to do smaller things myself. And with larger things I tried to do my homework beforehand so when I did take it someplace that wouldn't happen. People like that need to have a chain struck up their ass and pulled out their mouth, hung from a frame machine, stretched to hell and back, set on fire and let the mice lick up the grease drippings and their carcasses tossed in the muddy ditch so the stray dogs can have a feast. Damn. I think I might have either made him put it all back together with a new engine while i watched him, and of course had her a lawn chair and cooler there as well - or I'd do it myself and send him the bill for it along with a note from my attorney and a nice set of photos with a full page ad and letter to the editor in the local newspaper, added to a letter to the BBB, and whatever else I could to do ruin what little reputation he has left. BTW... Did he really piss his pants? |

Ugh... I hate it when garages try to take advantage of a customer, and I hate it even more when it is a woman they focus on.
After seeing these commercials on TV for the so-called "Camry" effect, there are enough helpless, dumbass men out there who would make for much juicier targets. Their largess will make them not admit they got taken. |

I can't believe that could happen....out here there would be some serious ass kicking going on if someone tried to pull that shit......tore the engine down and was holding it ransome for 3800 bucks???? Come on man!!! They would be closing the doors for good after I got done with them....actually one word at the coffee shops around here about what was going on and their trade would disappear.
You no doubt handled it in a professional mannor but those guys gotta go.... |
