Good Morning CGs!

Currently about 26 with a whopping high of 40 today. I guess the fun is finally over. I still need to drain some extra water off the pool cover. You leave it in the fall to prevent the wind from lifting the cover and blowing it around, but in the winter the ice can get sharp edges and poke holes in it. So it has to be pumped. No big deal. I also need to tarp the table and kids' toys still outside. This weekend, I guess. No snow in the forecast that I know of, yet.

Over the weekend I was very happy during my workout. My back has healed about 95% and I'm able to lift heavy again. I switched to a single muscle group/day workout plan so I can fatigue then a little better. It has worked, as on Saturday I matched my pre-injury personal best on the bench press. So I look forward to getting stronger again.

Not a whole lot on the agenda other than that.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning. Cold this morning high near 30. Snow flurries earlier.
Yesterday's Veterans Day assembly went great! Auditorium holds 1400 and it was standing room only. Students were respectful and seemed to be focused on what I was saying. Interesting times.
Need to get motivated today! tons of things to do, my wife is thinking about putting up one of the Christmas Trees...hum thats the spirit!! put the stuff up so all the lights are burned out before Christmas Eve. One of our Direct TV music channels is already playing Christmas music.
As youcan tell I'm no where near the holiday spirit mode.
Well guys I need to close up the lake house this morning and plug holes in the pole barn where mice are getting in.
I have heard dryer softner sheets and steel wool works well in keeping the little critters at bay.
Have a great day!

We had some snow here in the D. I was not prepared for this, especially since the weekend was 64*.

Last night I had these beauties in the back of a pickup. Let the winter projects begin!

Howdy! Nice change of pace today - the roads weren't like skating rinks. It was a real mess yesterday in downtown St. Paul, glad I was able to get out of here to go home and deal with the furnace. Lots of fender-benders, etc. Bright and sunny instead today.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Just got back from uptown. Traffic sucked but that's no mystery. Made the run and unloaded the truck in 3 1/3 hours. Good time. Wifey called me from the job site. On the last swing of the pick to remove a previously planted palm, they hit a gas line. Police and fire department were called as no shut off could be located. At least no one got hurt and there was no big bang. Remember, when your that close and you hear a bang, your already dead. She had called on previous occasions to have the property marked for utility lines. Previously they had informed her that the gas line ran under the concrete. She didn't call for marking this time becasue she remembers from the last time they marked it. Don't think that save her though. She may be in for a big bill from the gas company. I'll let y'all know how it plays out.

Yes ..... Around here, it's always somethin. She just got approved for an upcoming surgery. She's going under the knife Dec 10th. Looks like she'll be hanging around the house during the holidays. Woe is me .... Oh, woe is me ..... [insert emoticon playing a violin]

Gas leak update. Gas company crew is onsite repairing the damaged line. My question to her was, "Are you gonna have to pay for it?". Her reply. "Probably". And so another lesson learned. When there is a proceedure, it's best to follow proceedure. Had she called and had it marked it would have been repaired free of charge. I'm sure this oversight won't happen again. Money out of pocket will stregthen her desire to comply with normal practice. All this is making me tired. Hhhmmmm. Should I pay the bills first or nap first? It's a toss up. Napping first will prevent me of thinking how much I just paid out on the bills. Where's my pillow?

Morning guys....It's 26 here too, Matt, but we're shooting for mid 50's. I've got the same trainer as Marcus, piling on those dinner plates. Middle school B-ball starts today. They have a game away, so that means we will not have much of a class this afternoon. And Thursday we host games, so that means no class again for the afternoon class.

I've just invented boogervac. Simply plug into your lighter receptacle while your driving or sitting in the car and suck away those annoying hard and crusty formations clinging to the hairs of your nose. Snot running down your nose? Boogervac works great on snot too. A handy clear collection bottle lets you see your progress. Simply add water, slosh around the cannister and dispose. Now you can also get boogervac lite. It operates on two AA batteries for those moments when you need an extraction while out in public or sitting comfortably at home. Comes with it's own boogervac lite convenient carrying case. Makes a great stocking stuffer. Don't let boogers get the best of you. Suck them, store them then slosh them away.

I got the fuel filter changed on the p/u (and my arms soaked in gas). Luckly, my buddie told me to come over and use his lift.

He has the motor set in the 35 Ford p/u.
