Good morning gang.

Warm here today. I woke up to 70* and muggy. Temps in the 80's with chance of showers and thunder storms.

Today is Julius_Richard_Petri's birthday. The google doodle is pretty cool.

Word of the Day Friday, May 31, 2013.

de profundis\ dey proh-FOON-dis \, adverb;

1. out of the depths (of sorrow, despair, etc.).

Origin:

De profundis means "out of the depths" in Latin. It is the opening of Latin translation of Psalm 130 which continues "Out of the depths I cry to you." Today the term can be used as a phrase to convey sadness or as an adverb.

Good Morning CGs!

So the wife is in a better mood the past two days so I'm ok with that. Tommy's post yesterday made me chuckle....if you didn't know better you would think I had a mistress. Well, in fact I do, I have two of them now. A black corvette and a gray audi. I guess that's one thing my wife will never have to worry about. I don't go out boozing, chasing women, or causing trouble. I do 4 things: work (at work), work (around the house), work (on my car), and work (out)

Weather here sucks. Hot and rain every day the past 4 days or so. And this weekend it will stop raining but drop to 65. I have had the pool open 2 weeks and haven't been able to use it...ugh. I keep forgetting to put the solar cover on to warm up the water. I will do that tonight...I think....if I remember...I hope.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Halilú!

It's semi-sunny this morning, but it's supposed to rain this afternoon. I drove the Vette anyway, since it is already filthy from the rain the other day. I hear they don't melt. We got another short break from the rain after dinner last night, so I managed to mow the lawn. Twice, in fact, since it was so friggin' long and wet. Finished just in time before the rain started up again. I'm supposed to play golf tomorrow morning, may have to wear a duck suit.

Stay dry, Gurus!

Good sunny morning my fine friends...I am up and ready to take on the world.....I think its because its Friday.....My favorite day of the week....

We are fed up with our front loading washer dryer we have had for 4 years and never did like. We are trading them in and getting the old style top loaders at least the washer is.....We had the high end Bosch units on the pedestals and never liked the way the clothes were cleaned and smelled a lot of times coming out of the washer. The Gubernment did to washers what they did to toilets...we have to use less water so wash those filty jeans in a cup of water now instead of 5 gallons...what a joke...we are buying a set of Speed Queen's.....reminds me of some girls I used to hang out with .....They are made in Belgium and you can still set your load water level on your own not have the washer select it on what the load weighs....I'm getting this info 2nd hand from Uwoman.....

Anyway that is what is going on here and I had better do some work...got a new hire starting today so will need to be training him.....seems like a nice guy....don't they all when they need a job.....

Have a profound day Guru's...

Yeah, we have a front-loader and leave the door open so that all the water evaporates out of it, otherwise it will stink after a while. It's a plot to sell washing machine cleaning supplies, methinks :-P

A co-worker of my wife's went to her "doctor" yesterday about a sore neck. The "doctor" started feeling her arm, starting at the wrist and moving up, and when he got to about her elbow, he declared that she had stress from sometime in the past, which was causing her sore neck. He decided that it was stress from when she was in the womb, that she got from her mother. So he beat on her back to get it out. Alrighty, then.

We stayed with the top loader washer and always liked it better.

Just got home a short while ago from having our A/C coils cleaned at the rental. My A/C guy pulled the coils, dissassemled it from the tray and cleaned it up real nice. Water was dripping down from the tray to the floor. The tray and coils were loaded with gunk. Hopefully all should be well now.

Puppy is doing pretty good and has been peeing and pooping outside. had a couple of minor patio peeing incidents but overall it's doing well. The main thing with pups is potty training and keeping then from eating the furniture, shoes and other valuables. Once you get by that it goes pretty well ........... unless you have one of the hyper-mutts. This one seems melloe enough. Hopefully it will take my lead and learn how to nap.

You may want to inform the pup that you may be sharing his house from time to time.

How many 'pup' chairs do you have? We have an older recliner that is used almost exclusively by our daughter's dog when she comes to visit. We call her our 'grand puppy'.

All the animals (but the cat) are relagated to the floor. Cats do whatever the hell they want to do.

Great story about the pig! And when I build my 12-car garage with the wet bar and big-screen TV (right after I win the lotto), I wouldn't mind having that '63 parked in it.

Evening guys, it's been a long day. I got quite a bit done though. Cabinets are hung, doors are finished, as are some trim pieces I had to make. More work tomorrow. No storms today, but the clouds held the temps down to a comfortable mid 80's.

We have the front load, I'm not sure I like the way it cleans, darn sure aren't a soft as the old machine.

I got to hit the bed, I'm bushed. I'm already looking forward to school starting so I can get a break.
