A couple friends have at least portions of their driveways heated, using a Wirsbo system. Works great.

I have a heated driveway. Solar heated, but I also live in Florida.

You can only go so far on a heated driveway but if your gonna do the driveway you might as well do the sidewalks and steps.

When I was a kid one of our neighbors had one put in and they bragged about it to no end. Then when winter came around all the dogs in the neighborhood would hang around for the heat.
They had to stop using it to get rid of the dogs and their doggy-style activities, fighting, and pooping that went on. I remember being on the schoolbus and seeing the dogs going at it in the morning and in the afternoon when we came home.
It was like the dogs called each other from all around because there were dogs there that we'd never seen before.
I'm not saying that'll happen to you, but it sure was fun hearing the "Snooter" Family and their snotty-azzed kids get theirs in the following weeks.

Worked on a couple radiant heated slabs indoor and outdoor down here even in SD. Comfort heating anyways. Electrical? Geez that sounds expensive.
