Good Morning CGs!

Just relaxing for a minute before the two terrorists wake up and start destroying the house. Folks will be here soon and then I don't know if it's breakfast at the diner or hanging around the house. This afternoon is the mini-golf and pizza party for RR#2. Not his actual bday today, but when we had time to conveniently do the party. He's turning 3, so not like days mean much to him anyway.

The other day I was driving and threw an intermittent code 33. This has been happening off and on for years but never seemed to affect anything so I left it. I decided to replace the relay just for S&Gs and it might have magically cleared up my stumbling idle issue. Not sure until I drive it more. I also need to replace a hose clamp and a thermostat bolt that doesn't seem to want to seal correctly. We'll see when I can get that done.

Tommy, I mentioned something to you in yesterday's chat about antiques. Let me know.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I've already been in the garage tinkering, had to take a break to feed the rugrat. Turns out the thermostat housing gasket is leaking, which is the cause of my leak not a bolt. So I got that pulled off and cleaned up. I was in the process of making a new gasket when I had to stop. Once RR is done eating we can go in the garage and finish up.

Where is everyone

Yawn. Stretch. Scratch. OK, I think I can face another dreary Ohio day.

Going to take the little blind woman to lunch then head to the races. The season is winding down.

Two hours to go then heading to Reno for 5 days. Booked the 1200 sq ft. suit this time. Hope the poker game runs long and every day so I can pay for it.
Anyone have knowledge of the Front bumper called STALKER for the C4's. They look cool.

I can't get moving... beautiful 80 degree breezy day here, sunbathing is useless, it feels good but you don't really get any sun - the pool is a mess, needs vacuumed and I'm out of pills for it. I finally got up and made myself food. Stayed out too late - got invited to the Fugarwe Tribe Clubhouse (mnotorcycle club) a friend of mine is in for a family potluck last night - TONS of good food there and a girl named Brandy made the best yeast rolls I've ever had. Left there at midnight, was still awake so I came home for a bit then decided to hit Wal Mart and get my grocery shopping done. Think I wound up going to sleep around 2:30. Up before 10. Things I want to do but still sleepy and zero energy or motivation, but hate to waste a beautiful day either.

Howdy! We had a good time at my sister's surprise party - nice turnout, even a lot of her old high-school friends were there. Sadly, we got home early enough to be watching the Viqueens' putrid performance.

Here's Tom, keeping his students in line:

Matt. Thank you for the offer on the plane. I actually have several and they've been on display in one of my tool box drawers for the past 20 years. Last time I broke one out was after Hurricane Andrew. The tools I look for are usually specialty tools like unusual pliers and wrenches, punches and stuff like that that were used by craftsman back in the olden days. Small and easy to hang. Thanks for the offer. I hope your plane finds a deserving new home. DON'T THROW IT AWAY THOUGH. If nobody wants it I'll take it. Hey tee! Can you use an antique plane?

I think I actually used one of those things the other day... I think... looked like a cheese grater, was something my daddy had in his old metal tool box, I remembered it being there - there's a gate in the privacy fence between me and the elderly lady's yard next door and it was stuck, the tree people needed it open, then it would not shut again. I got that thing out and in no time had it whittled down to where it would close properly. He has some stuff in there I'm not sure what they are, one wrench that's curved that was a specialty tool for some machine in some factory somewhere - maybe I'll use them one day, maybe not. If I ever get a little garage of my own and a new work bench and stuff I plan to hang a sign I will make up in there that says "Eddie's Garage" in memory of him, a set of his keys I think may have went to his old shop and put his tool box in there with his old stuff in it.
Got the Vette out for some showing out today, it needed it and I did too. Came home and finally vacuumed out the pool, trying to sit out on the front porch with a cold one and relax in what's left of the sun and listen to my fountain if the neighbor's stupid dog will quit barking...

Spotted on our way home today:

1). Somebody towing a very dusty "barn find" Pontiac - looked to be about a 1950

2). A car hauler loaded with what appeared to be new cars and mini-vans, with the exception of a ratty-looking '56 Ford

3). A bus with a "Care-free Nudist Colony" sign on it

Plane????? Did I miss something? I collect planes, I have probably 50-60 of them. From 150 years old to probably 50 years old. What kind of plane is it? Tell me it's a Stanley #1, that would make my day! Been looking for one of those for 30 years.........But I'm interested in whatever it is.

Matt?????????

Got home about 7pm from the in-laws, just like predicted 5 hours of driving for a 2 hour and 45 minute visit. Mom looked pretty good today.

When I got home I spent about an hour and a half helping my #2 grandson with some homework, from MY class.... Sorry arse teacher.

Then I went out to the shop and put together another cabinet, the pantry, 33 inches wide x 94 inches tall and 24 inches deep. Biggest cabinet I've ever tried to put together. With Rosie's help I got it together and hinge halves installed.

Time for bed.......
