Good morning gang.

Cold here this morning with temps in the low to middle teens. We should have sunshine most of the day with temps reaching the low 20's maybe.

Congrats to Dale Jr for winning the Daytona 500. Turned out to be a wreck fest near the end. Also there were more comercials than raceing time it seemed.

On to today.

Word of the Day Monday, February 24, 2014

malinger\ muh-LING-ger \, verb;

1. to pretend illness, espeically in order to shirk one's duty, avoid work, etc.

Origin:

Malinger derives from French malingre , "sickly," perhaps from Old French mal , "badly" + heingre , "lean, thin."

Good Morning CGs!

Will be in the teens the whole week here, as well. We might see some more snow tomorrow. Not sure how much. I am done with the white stuff for this winter. Ready to get the car out and do some driving.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, all!

Much colder in Philadelphia today and looking like it will be cold for the next ten days at least.

Today's chat thread is already going down in flames, I see.

Morning guys....last week of February, hard to believe that the month slipped away already. I spent some time at school last evening messing with the CNC machine. started a file, that was to take 4 hours to run, then came home while it was running to eat. Went back up later and the file errored out, so had to restart it and I watched it for 2 hours and got tired so I came home. I hope it finished after I left. I'll find out soon.

Got to head to school. I'll check back later. Have a great day.

Well, woke up to a fresh blanket of snow. Oh the humanity, when will it all end....I shouldn't complain I've had the GS out on several occasions this past month...but I'm a warm weather type of guy in a winter world...

I tried to watch the race also yesterday but finally got sick of all the ads and went back to the Olympics to watch the 4 man bobsled teams. The brakeman for the #1 USA sled comes from a small town about 25 miles from here. They took gold in 2010 and Bronze this year by .03 of a second. It's his third olympics and he says he is retiring. Curt Tomasevicz played football for the Huskers and then went on to take up the Bobsled....

Ok time to go make the living.....let's be carefull out out there Guru's....

ANOTHER NICE DAY IN THE CHEROKEE NATION, SUNNY, COLD, MINIMAL WIND. GOOD DAY FOR A C-CRUSE.

HERE'S A FAVORABLE STRAW IN THE WIND: THE AMMO HOARDERS CAME OUT OF THE WOODWORK AND HAD THEIR STASHES PROMINENTLY DISPLAYED AT THE GUNSHOW FOR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES; SAW SOME OF THOSE PRICES COME DOWN DURING THE COURSE OF THE WEEKEND. I THINK THE INDUSTRY IS CATCHING UP AND THEY ARE TRYING TO UNLOAD.

Well, the router was done when I got here this morning, I guess I fixed the problem. I finished up that little project...not so little actually, probably 8-10 hours fixing the graphic and 6 hours machining.....for how much you ask? ZERO, NADA, NOTHING, a favor for my little brother. Oh well, what can you do?

Started out cold here but has warmed up a bit, above freezing now. Supposed to be seasonably cold all week. I can handle that.

Weather here in the mile high is bright and sunny continuing the weekend trend, so maybe east of here will get something better but by Wednesday snow is returning - - like its not winter still.

I'm bidding on a putter lot for playing mini golf around the yard and came across some golf bags. It dawned on me that if you fly with your clubs you can pack your clothes in the pouches and not even need a carry on.

Meanwhile back at the farm ......

DAD, ABOUT YOUR WILL...

A man was telling his buddy, "You won't believe what happened last night... My daughter walked into the living room and said, 'Dad, cancel my allowance immediately, forget my college tuition loan, rent my room out, throw all my clothes out the window; take my TV, and my laptop. Please take any of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Cash Converters. Then, sell my car, take my front door key away from me and throw me out of the house. Then, disown me and never talk to me again. And don't forget to write me out of your will and leave my share to any charity you choose.' "

"Holy Smokes," replied the friend, "she actually said that?"

"Well, she didn't put it quite like that, she actually said... 'Dad, meet my new boyfriend - Mohammed. We're going to work together on Hillary's election campaign!' "

Chsshhhh!

I can do EVERYTHING without leaving home or very close to it. No need to go anywhere. I'll have it all here. BB gun range, darts, bean toss, mini golf, board games, poker table. Drive down the street and the road is wide open for driving fun. Swimming pool next door and backwater boat, pool table my other next door and he has an airboat, I 've got a 20 foot offshore. All the toys at our disposal and plenty of chairs to boot. Building it all up is half the fun. My left side neighbor is starting his Garage Mahal around April. Of course I'll have to put in a little sweat equity. Life is good.

You betcha. In the house we have a milk shake machine, popcorn poppers, homemade ice cream machine, sandwich press, juicers and the list goes on. Actually it's fun for the whole family. We have visitors that range in age from newborn to 91. You can't play with toys you don't have. Boredom is not an option. I guess I'm fulfilling a young mans dream of wouldn't it be great to have a .......... I didn't have $#!+ when I was a kid. I had to trudge through miles of snow in my bare feet in darkness just to get to school but that's another story. Here we entertain and we're damned good at it. Unfortunately we rarely have enough people over to play BINGO.
