Good Morning CGs!

Well the sun is out for a change. Maybe it will be a sign of a good day? The weather people are saying next week Thursday it might hit 65. That would be a welcome change.

Last night I took the kids to the rec center to have pizza with the Easter Bunny and get some photos. They had a jumper set up and little projects, music, etc. It's always fun, but always overcrowded and poorly planned...lol. It's the little things, like not having a coat rack for 400 people in a gymnasium. Or having to stand in line for 40 minutes before you even get in the door. Stuff like that.

Going out tonight for BIL's bday party. He is having it at a local bar, I will stop by to say hello to him and his friends. Probably won't drink much if any.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...up and at 'em.Headed to the "city", need to pick up some Formica samples for a project I'll be doing and some groceries. Possibility of more moisture today. We actually had .4 the other day. No drought buster, but every little bit helps. I'd take that again today or even more.

GMCG's

I was lying in bed getting ready to get up when the phone rang. The parts store had called at 07:15 to let us know the piston had come in from Japan. It's the last part we needed for the skid steer rebuild. Parts are just really hard to find for that thing but we've got everything we need now. Over 2 months to gather all the parts. I hate getting up having to do stuff NOW. Guess it goes back to school days, work days and the worst, the military days. 05:00 Rise and shine ladies! I don't like pressure. I have it from time to time but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Hhmmm. There's an auction about 5 minutes away. Preview at 10:00. They have a Lucky 7's slot machine and a few other items that I don't need but would be willing to bid on anyway. I don't think they'd take a box full of wooden money though.

Howdy! Nice, lazy day here so far. Big improvement in the weather coming - 40's today, then 50's warming up to 60's later in the week. Looks like I'd better get cracking on getting the garage ready - I think I can actually bring the Vette home soon.

Have fun at the track, Bill! That saw looks like a great way to avoid being called "Lefty" ;-)

Enjoy your Saturday, Gurus!

Those saws are awesome! I've seen them demonstrated more than once at the woodworking conferences I attend. The cost of the "cartridges is coming down in price. Used to be the replaceable cartridge was around $400, they are now down to around $180 (IIRC). Way cheaper than a lost finger, or two, or three, or four...... But the saw is still pricey around $3000 for the cabinet saw, compared to $1100-1500 for a comparable saw without the safety device. And just as a point of reference, the left hand is more likely to be injured than the right.

Greeetings Gurus!

Everything's finally settled for the morning, and I get a chance to pop online between customers. One of the staff here said it was supposed to be 90* today - that can't be right. I know it's supposed to warm up, but that's insane.

One of the other vendors here who I've become friends with, told me some horrible news. The little brother of her daughter's best friend was murdered. They found his body in a suitcase about 40 or 50 miles north of here. Craziness. I had seen the article in the paper before she told me, so I knew the exact story she was talking about but had no connecton to it. So sad.

I just checked the weather report, and it's supposed to be 91* on Tuesday, not today, but that's still wrong for April!

90 is not warm, it's freakin' hot! And where I live and work, I don't have a/c so I feel every degree!

It's been sprinkling here for about an hour, not a lot of moisture, but we'll take every drop.

Worked in the shop this afternoon and got the cabinet built. Very specialized L shaped cabinet, has two doors. Monday we'll have to figure out which Formica sample is closest and get that ordered, so I can get this one knocked out.

OK, after several years of reading my wife's FB, I signed up for my own account tonight. Not sure if that was a smart thing or not.

I went to sign up when Andy asked us to.

FB sent me a note saying they were having trouble accessing my email contacts list - never went back.

I got that message too, Bill. I just skipped it and went on. I think all they want to do at that point is set any of those people up as your "friends". I just selected friends from a list that popped up from other information....high school, college, work, etc

I also set up one for my business. Go by there and "like" my page. I need to have at least 20 "likes" before I can do some other things.
