Good morning.

Random thoughts. Coffee, aches and pains, dogs, stuff that breaks, Sue, stuff I can do, not Sue, naptime?, the boat, the weather. Enough pondering. Soon it will be time for doing. Though a morning nap sounds pretty good.

Up way too early, apparently I have lost my ability to sleep till noon - by 8:30 I had already gotten up, dressed, been to Wal Mart and back, made breakfast and done dishes. Geez... and was up till midnight last night cleaning out the back bedroom, hauling crap to the attic, putting my new tool chest in that closet and then locating all my stuff stashed elsewhere in the house and putting it in there. While cleaning out that closet I found all my old high school/college junk - which includes a pretty cool black light poster of the jolly green giant getting high and the poster is still in excellent condition and I had forgotten that everywhere it has black on the poster, the black is velvet. 2x3 size - need somewhere to put that LOL... was a funny find. Chores are all done, today will be spent sitting on my end, and in the pool, chicken to fry later with the fixins...

It would look great framed and hanging in your living room.

Good Morning CGs!

We had a wedding again last night. RR#1 was my date. She had a ball. It was a wedding for friends of ours so she knew a ton of the guests and got to dance and run around and play and was the center of attention (go figure). She didn't want to leave but she was exhausted and it was midnight so I pulled the trigger and we went home. She is still sleeping now at 9:15 so I hope she isn't too cranky today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning folks....I slept in a bit, but have already washed the Caddy. We are going to a wedding for a girl that works in the same building as Rosie. Never been to a Mennonite wedding before.

That is sweet, Marcus, and the price isn't bad either. Just got to sell the C5 first before I can do anything.

Greetings! There were some outdoor chores on the agenda today, but since it is thundering and raining again, that puts the kibosh on that plan. I'll probably just sit around and look stupid, one of my best things.

Bill, I was thinking about your car when I read the article in the current Vette magazine about a nice '67 Lynndale Blue convertible. Meanwhile, it looks like you're taking advantage of technology the original builders didn't have ;-)

Have a good day, Gurus!

We were at a party at a friend's yesterday - the gal runs a gift shop in a hospital, so she had some of her volunteers over. She took a few pics of an 82-year-old volunteer in my car:

WE HAVE AMISH AROUND HERE. THEY DON'T DO ELECTRICITY, BUT APPARENTLY NAT GAS OR PROPANE IS KOSHER. GAS LIGHTS, REFRIGERATORS, AC. TELEPHONES ARE ALSO A NO-NO, BUT BY SOME STRANGE COINCIDENCE, BETTER OFF FARMERS SOMETIMES HAVE A PUBLIC PHONE BOOTH IN THE FRONT YARD.

HAZY/SUNNY DAY, CON MUCHO HUMIDITY, 90 PREDICTED. NOT A GOOD DAY TO PLAY OUTSIDE. GOT THE NEW MAS PUT ON THE BUMBLEBEE FRIDAY; THE SES LIGHT IS STILL OFF. I'M ABOUT READY TO DECLARE VICTORY IN THE "TOO RICH MIXTURE" CAMPAIGN :-)

Thanks much for the tune there got me a HUGE steak on the baby grill... Get chuck eye steaks... Bout inch and half thick, look like ribeyes, tasty and very tender but no grissle and half the price. Enjoying my lionhead fountain on the wall and moved the mini fridge and stereo back outside for the summer have "true oldies" playing and a fridge full of cold ones. I even had a nap!

Brad, I'm surprised that you still haven't got around to washing your car yet.

Sunday, a day of rest. That's rarely the case for me but I managed to lay down a 3 plus hour snooze from 10:35 to 1:45. This is certainly worth an honorable mention. Do I feel guilty? Certainly, but I'll get over it.

I haven't washed it since last year - just an occasional dusting and detail spray. I've been fortunate to not get caught in the rain in a long time.

Thanks, Matt - needs a little TLC, but she doesn't look too bad for 18.

I just got back from picking up a present for the garage - I bought a Panasonic 32" LED TV they had on sale at Best Buy for $199. It'll replace an old 25" tube that must be close to 25 years old, that hasn't worked reliably for quite some time.

Wow...$199. That sounds like a deal. Amazing how the price for technology has come down.

When I was single I had a 13" tube TV...no joke. Now if I watch anything smaller than 32" it seems small...lol.

evening folks....the wedding was different, not bad, just different. As far as them finding out that I'm a carpenter/cabinetmaker, they already know. I've worked with their resident carpenters before, I also work on several of their computers. I'd be more than happy to help them out with a barn raising.

After the wedding, they had everyone there stay and eat lunch, nothing fancy, but very good and very efficiently done.

Once home, we went to the "city" and did some grocery shopping. Then home where I spent about 4 hours washing, cleaning, claying, and polishing my daughters' car. She helped out as well as #2 GS. Just as I get done it starts thundering and lightening. Just had enough time to get my pickup in the garage before it started raining. What a glorious shower. Got an inch of rain in about 20 minutes and it's still sprinkling. THANK YOU LORD!

Got a response from the seller of the 2007 Corvette I posted a link to yesterday.....it is nearly perfect! The only thing that is a draw-back is, it's an 07, an LS2. It has everything else. The two tone cashmere/black, both tops, Nav, F55 (adjustable suspension, which isn't a requirement, but nice). Not that I couldn't live with an 07, as a matter of fact it has some advantages, lower taxes and less insurance costs. Now someone needs to come around and buy my C5.
