Morning guys...got home from the party last night, late. It certainly was a surprise to my SIL. Saw some folks that I hadn't seen in years, that was nice. Didn't get to talk to the birthday girl very much or "that" brother. Did get to speak with younger brother and his wife and birthday girls' kids quite a bit.

We are headed home pretty soon. Sun is out and shining brightly, but it is cold.

Sun and cold here also....waiting for the other shoe to drop tomorrow and more storms move in....high tuesday will be 8 degrees.......

Oldest daughter is here from the west coast with her Yorkie dog....so we have my other daughters 20 lb cat plus now the two dogs......its getting to look like Tommys around here....

Got the GS all tore apart and working away at changing the valve covers out and relocating the coils.......been easier if they would have sent me all the parts but I'm in no big hurry.....nice to retreat to the shop whenever I want.......

Howdy! A tad crisp out there this morning - 11 degrees. They keep lowering the forecast high for Tuesday, now they're saying it will be a balmy 6. I have to work tomorrow and Tuesday before having another 5 days off. That schedule seems to agree with me - I could get used to it.

Worked a little ot yesterday so after getting home and eating I was tired and hit the sack. Had trouble getting up this morning.

Temps dropped today, I guess that warm stuff is over. They are calling for snow this week. We'll see.

I'M SAD I MISSED TOMMY'S ROAST PIG.

Nothing like a good hog roast, I remember some epic ones back in my biker days.....or kinda remember......we would cut off big chunks of pig with our Buck knives and eat them with the juices running down our faces all washed down with mugs of hearty ale.......it was manly eating.....with lots of raucous laughter....and maybe a few fights for entertainment......sigh....

I just dug the BBQ out of a snow drift to cook some steaks.....it turned out nice here today with no wind.......

I put some automotive stuff to good use today. A Mother's PowerBall and some Menzerna Super-Intensive Polish made quick work of shining up the kitchen sink (it's a granite composite of some sort). And I Chadwick'd the windows in the front door, patio door and kitchen. When it's 22 degrees, you have to work fast.

Made it home, sun shining brightly, but colder than a witches ..... oh well, you know. Wife is taking Christmas down, I'm relaxing.

Haven't been to a good pig roast in some time.

Cleaned up the shed and readied a place for all the Christmas stuff for storage. We'll take it all down after New Years. Normalcy is returning to my schedule and I have a number of things to catch up on. Knocked a few of them today. Yesterday I posted about Popi (FIL) getting a 2015 Vert. I'll post pics after he gets it home. Sticker on that sucker was 82K (minus 10K) at sale time. Saw they had a basic 2015 for 52K on the lot. ..... No ... I'm not buying. I'd buy a new Suburban before I would buy a new Vette. They have a lightly used 2014 Suburban on the lot for 35K. I'm awfully tempted on that one.

Sounds like everyone had a good Saturday - some idiot gave me the flu - didn't leave the house all day yesterday but had to go to nursing home to take her Christmas stuff down today, then found out my vette buddy here I ride with a lot and hang out with passed away late yesterday. I'd already gone to bed when the call came. He was in the hospital so there was an email sent that said 'no visitors' as he as in ICU. I was gonna sneak up there anyway yesterday but I got sick and he has COPD so I didn't. Figured I would go today - lesson learned - say it today if you want it heard.
Prayers for his family, they have a lot to unravel with his house, vehicles and business to liquidate.

So sorry to hear about your friend, Letty - mojo on the way.
