Good morning gang.

Hope today is better for all those that had a poor day yesterday. It's a new day new beginnings. Wife had a rough day yesterday. She lost her job again and it makes things rough in the household. We thought this one would work out but the company she was working for had two people come back from short term disability so she was let go. Well those are the breaks when you work through a temp agency. As far as my job goes it is still ending next month and we have heard that the new company wants to hire us. But because of some reasons that I don't understand due to money not being released from my current company, who by the way they hired to do my job, the new company cannot make us any offers. So hear we all sit in limbo. Just wish it was less stressful. But the lord has a plan for us I'm sure. What doesn't break us makes us stronger.

That's enough ranting on my part. On with today.

Word of the day is Babelism.

Today is CELEBRATION OF LIFE DAY

Celebration of Life Day is observed annually on January 22.

According to answers.com, the day is set aside to honor our children and grandchildren. Each child and each life is to be held as a precious gift with the highest respect and dignity.

NATIONAL BLONDE BROWNIE DAY

National Blonde Brownie Day is celebrated annually on January 22.

This unofficial national holiday celebrates blonde brownies, frequently referred to as blondies.
(Blondie: a rich, sweet dessert bar) Blonde brownies are similar to the traditional brownies know to all, minus the cocoa. In place of the cocoa, they are based on brown sugar, therefore still satisfying your sweet tooth!

Most people like to add white chocolate or chocolate chips to their blonde brownies or other things like nuts, toffee or butterscotch. Blonde brownies are usually prepared unfrosted as the brown sugar flavor tends to be sweet enough. These blondies are sometimes served in sundaes, often topped with caramel sauce.

NATIONAL BLONDE BROWNIE DAY HISTORY

There is no found documentation of the beginning of national blonde brownie day. It is known however, that this light-colored treat was actually invented in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Recipes for blonde brownies can be found in recipe books dating back into the 1940s and maybe even earlier.

Today would be a great day for a celebration of life with a blonde brownie for you guys that aren't married. I'm backed up again due to stuff with the Vette and the vet. The 90's starter decided to take a dump right after the vss test drive. I've been having occasional no start issues so it's really no surprise. The security system guy is due any minute now to get that back up and running. Then I have to stop off and pick up the pooch, next I have to go to the mechanic's garage set up a few things. Then I have the stuff I've put off to catch up on. One thing at a time. One step before the other. One day at a time. And the years roll by ...........

Good Morning CGs!

Wow, Mike, really sorry to hear about the employment troubles. That just makes things tough all around. I hope you guys are able to turn it around quickly.

Took RR#2 out for ice cream last night because it was just the two of us. He enjoyed that, got to play for a little bit. When I got home I was taking my change out of my pocket and the jingle jangle didn't sound quite right. I inspected the change and found a 1952 silver quarter in there. Although I'm not an avid coin collector anymore, I always pull out neat little treasures like that and put them aside in a shoe box. I've been doing that since I was a kid. I don't know what good it does. Maybe when I die, my kids will have a quarter worth $.26.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

We have an acupuncturist that was an MD in China. Crawl in, walk out. 45 minutes to an hour, $75. We've referred many people who've achieved the same results. I went to a bone crusher for over 5 years routinely. The acupuncturists magic worked better for me. Haven't been laid up for years now. Matt or Bill, don't bother fixting it. I'll do it for you.

I can see her place from my patio.

I watched as she got home from work this evening. I was surprised when she walked across the street, up my driveway and knocked on the door.

I rushed to open it, she looks at me and said, "I just got home, and I have this strong urge to have a good time, dance, get drunk, and get laid tonight! Are you doing anything?"

I quickly replied, "Nope, I'm free!"

She said, "Great! ....Could you watch my dog??

Got my 90 back with the new speed sensor and rebuilt starter. Enjoyed the ride home. I don't know why but I felt like a teenager again when I ran through the gears. It's just so damned enjoyable. Still such a fun car to drive even after owning it for almost 14 years. I can say that about all the sports cars. They each have their own personality and good features.

I'm super happy with the shop owner. Down to earth, honest and he knows his stuff. I can bring my own parts, no problem. $75 an hour labor which is very reasonable in South Florida for quality workmanship. I'm lucky to have them around.

That is all .............
