Bright sunshine today, and once again I was in too much of a hurry to do the driveway shuffle, so the Vette languishes. I'm sure I'll regret it in October. But it should be a nice evening for golf.

Morning guys....I guess I was too busy yesterday to post up. I got the shower walls installed at the rectory and stain put down on some of the kitchen cabinet doors. Back to working on those cabinets today. try to finish staining and the drawers came in so I need to get those installed too. Getting close to having these ready to install. Going to wait to do that though, until after we get back from vacation. At the rectory I will have to wait until next week to finish up there, as the painters are in today and tomorrow, then the floor covering guy. That puts me off to do the finishing touches until next week. Oh, well.

Been really hot here. Didn't quite make the 100* mark yesterday, but another chance for today. Not real conducive for fun work in the shop (no AC there).

STILL SUMMER IN THE NATIONS. THE CHEROKEES ARE STILL DRYING OUT. THE CHOCTAWS & CHICKASAWS ARE WAITING FOR THE WATER TO SUBSIDE AND REPAIRING FLOOD DAMAGE.

GRANDDAUGHTER'S TEAM ONE ONE AND LOST ONE. TOOK THE '87 TO FAYETTEVILLE, CAUGHT HELL BECAUSE AC DIDN'T WORK. IT WORKED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR, HAVEN'T TURNED IT ON SINCE. TO ME CORVETTES ARE ALL ABOUT ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS AND GO! DARLING WIFE IS OF OTHER OPINION :-0

Took the kids to the zoo this morning. Thought about leaving them there to be in their natural habitat. Actually they were about 96% good which is way higher than their standard 36% good. So they got slurpees as a treat on a warm day. They are actually playing nicely, now.

I hope to see the Northern Lights one day...
been covered up with a book layout for the paper and of course, last minute on it all. Went to car swap meet and stuff at Petit Jean Mountain Friday with Arron. Saw some great cars, and tons of junk. It's at the near 100 mark here too, heat index is 106 today and of course the air at the office is out.

Left home at 06:45AM and got home at 08:30PM. This retirement thing takes some getting used to. Day two of the mass move. Filled a dumpster, a big U-Haul and our box truck. Moved three refrigerators and a freezer, some huge cabinets that required disassembly, ceiling fans and mucho mas ......... Good night.

I had a long day with lots of driving and delivering chemicals and seed.....we are into about the 3rd replant on some of these lower flooded fields.....if it keeps raining they will just have to give it up I'm thinking......

We were down by the Kansas border and it rained hard on us around noon.....that area got about 3.5 inches of the soft little raindrops coming down at about a 100 mph.......got nothing up here at home......

Got a lot done today. drawers mounted, more doors stained, microwave mounted in the rectory, a bathroom vanity stained and ready for finish.

Watching the Royals now.

Good evening gang.

Not much happening. I worked on the car tonight. I put in a new door ajar switch and a hatch release switch in the driver door.

There were many times when my kids were young I wish I could have left them at the zoo too. Sometimes the way they acted they sure as heck seemed like that is where they belonged.

Should be cool and dry tomorrow. I should be able to get the lawn mowed before it rains again on Thurs.
