Good Morning CGs!

I have decided that I will pick up a quart of MMO and run that for 500 miles then drain. I just changed the oil last week, oh well. The price of a jug of oil and filter are cheap enough that it won't hurt to do it 1000 miles apart.

Looks like we have some light rain going on now, not sure if it will continue throughout the day.

TB - glad you made it home safe and sound. From the pictures in your thread it looks like you had a nice time.

Off to the skin cancer PA for a once over then come home and mow and weed whack the home grass. Party countdown is at 4 days. Hope the weather cooperates. If not, it will be ........ interesting ........ brought home the 2000 Express 2500 van yesterday. Flushed the gas tank, new fuel pump and gas filter, battery, tires, windshield wipers, front brakes, air conditioning compressor, EGR, lube , oil and filter. The van has a spunky 4.3 V-6, long body, windows on all doors, 65,000 miles. Runs and drives really nice. Interior is in good condition. The speakers suck. Needs paint on the roof and hood. Into it for under 3 grand for all repairs, tax, tag, title and insurance. Would be great to take to Sebring if we keep it till Spring.

Busy from the minute I got here, looks like more of the same all day. I will be laser-beam focused on getting to that nap chair.

Yesterday evening I managed to find enough time to wash the little red car. It no longer resembles a barn find. Took it out for a really short ride, it seemed happy. Two more days and it will get all dirty again and the cycle will repeat.

Went over to Michelle's house and mowed the lawn last night. While I was at it I also sprayed the weeds in the driveway cracks. I am trying Weed-B-Gone this time to see how well it works.

Tommy, I got an e-mail the other day, Sebring tickets are on sale now. Get 'em while they last !

Rash impromptu decisions have been made and lodging secured as we pack and head to the Black Hills Corvette Rally. Came in last night and they were calling for rain so I told Uwoman lets get the hell out of Dodge and she said that was good for her...so we are heading out......Have not been to the rally in years but it stays pretty much the same usually about 600 cars or so.

Some of the best driving roads in this part of the country. We plan to be back Monday.......

It did rain an inch here last night...........keep your powder dry Guru's.....and keep the shiny side up.......

Morning guys....Not quite home, Matt. But doesn't really feel like vacation, more like a long weekend, as we are still 400 miles from home, but in family homes. Ken we passed through your area Tuesday. Thought about trying to get in touch, but given a Tuesday, I figured you were at work.

Nothing really planned today. Rosie wants to go out to Nebraska Furniture Mart. She's planning the "in the near future" kitchen remodel, and wants to look at a few things to help make her decisions.

Have a great time Marcus....I guess we could have thrown that in on the vacation plans.... hummmmmm.

GOT THE BOYS REPATRIATED TO ARKANSAS THIS MORNING. SON PICKED THEM UP AT WESTVILLE WHERE WE HAD BREAKFAST. CHICKEN FRIED STEAK AND EGGS, HASHBROWNS AND GRAVY. YUM!

AND QUIET AGAIN REIGNS AM GRISHEIM.

Ya left at noon and got here at 8:30 central time.......right at 500 miles....it was hot on the way up but the AC kept us cool. That was a 58 mph average.........I know we drove a lot faster than that.........maybe it was all those 10-100's we had to stop for.........

Lots of Corvettes in the area and a lot of old Geezers driving them we are hoping to find some younger gen folks driving Corvettes......lots of C5's and C6's and quite a few C7's.........I did count 4 C4's so far.....more later.....
