Wow, one week gone already, huh? I guess it's true what they say that the days are long but the weeks/months/years are quick. That sums up my life pretty much. Always feel like it's an uphill battle when I wake up in the morning, but then I look back and realize how far I've come. Interesting.

All I know is that I'm already looking forward to the weekend. Ugh.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morokeni!

Nice and sunny, but I left the Vette at home, didn't feel like doing the driveway shuffle. I may put it away this weekend, since it is starting to get chilly in the mornings and don't feel like scraping windows on the truck.

Sheesh, Matt fell into the WayBack machine!

Have a good day, all!

Wow......2008......I was still into the Harley and had not bought the 90 yet.....which brought me to these hallowed halls of knowledge.....I wonder if Matts car was tore apart back then too......... j/k Matt I am sorry you had to tear it apart again but I know you have the all the tools to do it..........

More work on the big liquid trailer today....we are getting it ready for a winter of hauling soy oil to a place that makes cattle feed. putting new air lines on it for the brakes....using stainless steel lines this time, more money but should last forever.....

just hanging out waiting for the harvest to get in gear....corn is to wet to pick yet so they are going after the soybeans......

Enjoy Guru's.......

I had already put in my retirement papers, was approved and on the final countdown for my last day 12/31/2008. Was still living in the "other" house.

Ha.... How you all been.

I finally replaced the C4

I picked up a 2003 50th Anniversary Convertible last night. Needs a little TLC but in good stock condition. One owner car.

I'll probably need some advice on a few things as they come up.

Take care - hope to be around some.

Don

NICE, NICE, NICE, SUNNY & 60 IN THE NATIONS. THE CHEROKEES ARE LOVING IT AND SO AM I.

CLEAN UP DAY TODAY FOR ME. YESTERDAY DARLING WIFE AND I WENT TO TENKILLER & GREENLEAF LAKES TO CHECK OUT RESORTS FOR A FAMILY GET TOGETHER. BOTH LOOKED PRETTY GOOD, ONE IS A STATE PARK, THE OTHER COMMERCIAL. AT THE STATE PARK (GREENLEAF) WE'D HAVE TO HAVE THREE CABINS TO FIT EVERYBODY IN AND NO PLACE TO EAT OUT. AT THE COMMERCIAL THEY HAVE A GOOD PLACE TO EAT AND WE WOULD ALL BE IN THE SAME BUILDING.
GREENLEAF LOOKS GOOD TO ME, MORE OUTDOOR STUFF FOR THE GRANDKIDS, BUT COOKING ALL THE MEALS WOULD BE A DOWNER FOR THE WOMEN.

Marcus, I sold the C4 last year to a guy that came down from PA. I personally think he got a steal at $10k
I had over $7K in the motor, trans and dif. That's not including the interior mods and Pioneer DVD/NAV system.

I loved the car but sometimes I think it almost better to leave these cars as they were. The more I modded it, there always seemed to be something else.

I always loved the color combination of the 50th Anniversary model and this one became available for a fair price. It has a little more mileage on it than others I looked at but the price and history were good. Plus the BORLA exhaust sounds awesome! :-)

It's been an interesting C4 season. I didn't drive mine much. Matt had issues all summer. Brad got his out so he can say he got it out. Andy has been making some major repairs. BillH's must be OK since he hasn't said anything about it. Marcus, Letty and Tom have traded up. gris has been trading his C4's on and off for rides when weather permitted. Those are just off the top of my head. I know I'm forgetting some.

Afternoon guys....Was busy from the get go today. May have picked up another counter top job as well.

Don! Funny I was just thinking about you the other day. Glad you were able to move to a C5. I went from my 94 to the 01 and a year ago to an 07. I hear you on the, basically leave them alone, front. Actually, with the LS2 and LS3, Not much need to get too carried away anyhow. My 07 has Borla stinger on it, and yes it sounds awesome.

I THINK YOU ALL ARE RIGHT ABOUT THAT. MY '96, WHICH HAD BEEN MESSED WITH BEFORE I GOT IT (CAM, ROCKERS, INTAKE, EXHAUST) GAVE ME MORE PROBLEMS AND EXPENSE THAN THE '87 & '95, BOTH STOCK EXCEPT RADIATORS, HAVE PUT TOGETHER. I WOULD BE VERY UNLIKELY TO BUY ANOTHER MODDED CAR.

THE FARMER WAS RIGHT: IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT.

I know it's almost Thursday already but I just got in from a long day at work, then came home and buffed out the rear trunk lid of the '03. The car has been sitting outside for a while because I have some light stains on the tan canvas convertible top and some clear coat hazing on the trunk lid. Everything else looks awesome. It took me three hours and at least four grades of polish to get where it needed to be. I was soaked in sweat but I think that trunk lid looks like a mirror now.

I'm amazed that someone owned this car for twelve years and the only thing they ever changed was the oil, brakes and tires. I need to stick to that mantra!!

Tommy... I have moved up to project manager and back down to worker bee and then back to project manager... Who knows. I do what they want me to do, which is really anything that we need done to make classes happen.
I don't know how much we discussed this before, but I work for the DOD Cyber Crime Center and we train the nations military cyber crime stopper. ( I know its corny ) but its true. Thirty years ago we were training guys to drive tanks and shoot guns and fight in the desert. Today we are teaching them to fight with ones and zeros. Anyhow, we have upped our enrollment by a bazillion and its going higher all the time. Most Americans are numb to this, but there is a real threat out there....

C5's.... They are different. I'm trying to figure out how to get the backlight on my climat control to come on again. It was on last night when I drove home, but this morning I couldn't see shit!!

Congrats on the new car! We just sold one of those at the body shop had 23k miles on it. Dude bought it to "store" for his 12 year old son. The 10year old daughter already has one he brought us to get up to specs same as the one he just got from us.
