Up early and got a load to haul......what fun.....I already feel like a nap....I will get some 100 mile mud down at the truckstop.....that will wake me up....

Hidey-ho! Gonna be a balmy 31 here today - Sunday's high will be about 33 degrees colder. I have a hunch that I'll get some use out of my fancy new balaclava. On the bright side, the chance of a mosquito incursion will be minimal. BTW, I did not win the PowerBall.

Good morning all.

I am starting to get pumped up for my annual run up to Detroit on Monday for the car show. Then on Thursday I head out to Delaware for a few busy days.

The weather looks like it might get above freezing for the next couple of days. We might be able to melt off some of this snow. I can't really complain, it has been a very mild winter so far. Let it do what it wants up until the first of March. I want decent weather for the drive to and from Sebring.

Got some stuff to do. All I have to do is figure out what it is. It will come to me. It always does.

Made some headway yesterday with the bathroom. 2 hour project to modify the medicine cabinet, but it's done. That's hung, toilet intalled, vanity and sink installed. I need to head to the store for some supply lines and a new ptrap. After that I have to hang the hand towel ring and it's complete. A long road but in the end it was worth it.

Morning guys...been up an at 'em since early. Was called back to the bank where I disassembled one of three secretarial desk units last week. Today I got to do the other two units. I built these 23 years ago, and now the bank is going through a remodel and much of what I spent a year doing in 1992 is going to be discarded. That's progress. All the employees come out telling me how wonderful it has been having the desks that I built. But somehow, I wasn't called to to do the new furniture....c'est la vie. I did get called to at least disassemble and remove these three units. Took 6 hours to do the one last week, but learned what needed to be done and how to do it and it only took 4 hours to remove the other two units this morning.

Obviously I wasn't a powerball winner either. Guess I'll have to struggle along this way. Very nice outside today, they are saying it could reach 60 this afternoon. I have some things to do int he shop, so I best get to them.

I went to Lowe's today and got the last little plumbing pieces I needed (did I mention I hate plumbing?). I got the lines fitted and the new p-trap installed. It was almost a hair too short, but I made it work. All buttoned up and everything is watertight. Got the towel ring hung up and all of the little finishing touches done. I even vacuumed and mopped the floor. I am very happy it's done. And I think it turned out very nice. Final cost was right at $500 for everything. If this job was farmed out it would have been an easy $2,000. But wife is happy so that's all that matters, right?

On to the next project?.....to be continued....
