Good Morning CGs!

Did some work last night, fixed the neighbor's car and then painted some trim in the house and under the new exterior sliding door.

The fireworks show for my town is this evening, so we will be watching that from the driveway. Got the kids some little sparklers and poppers, that's about all that is legally in Illinois. Plus, they re still little. I'm sure they'll want the bigger stuff when they are older.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Matthew

No goof off time yesterday so I was MIA. Yard work galore but some of the day's highlights were, weeding the sandy areas, planting 6 small citrus plants by myself no less (pick and shovel work), followed by loading, unloading and spreading 140 buckets of mulch with two of the guys. Buckets average weight was between 75 and 100 lbs with most at 100. Started at 08:00 and my day ended around 06:30 PM. I was exhausted at 04:30 but had to push through on auto pilot. Went to bed early and slept through the night real well. Have to work through the aches and pains today. 3rd of July party this afternoon. That's it in a nutshell.

Marcus, I cracked up when I thought about the roughing it in a Prevost. I saw an episode like that with the duck call making guys. Funny stuff. Some of the guys wanted to rough it. Some couldn't resist the temptations of luxury.

DARK, GLOOMY AND WET IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES WANT MORE RAIN.

INTERESTING TIMING ON THE FBI "INTERVIEW" WITH HER MAJESTY THE INEVITABLE. FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND, PLENTY TO DISTRACT THE PUBLIC AND MOST OF THE MEDIA NOT WORKING. JUST A COINCIDENCE, I'M SURE.

Morning guys...been to church already. It's drippy here too. Supposed to rain through most of the day. I've got nothing really planned for today.

Looks like I'm hauling a washer/dryer back home and an exercise machine. Lucky me.

Take care guys, have a great day.

Foggy and 59 degrees right now.....better dig out some hoodies to wear....

Like I said yesterday we are building a couple of games for the family rebellion coming up.....I don't even know what they are but Uwoman has been spending a lot of time and work on them and now she has enticed me into her web.....she wanted me to make the cuts on the plywood sheet and help make the box one of the games fits in......so I will.....

Good day to take a long nap and I better get started......have fun Guru's...

Good afternoon, all. Watching the race at Watkins Glen—the repave has completely changed the look of the track.

Matt, what did you fix for your neighbor? This kind of behavior is not found in my neighborhood ...

It looked kinda like that inside, granite counters, tile floors, 4 slides. The Cat was chipped for 400 horse. It was over $200k. It's a shorter one because with the trailer, it's at 64 1/2 feet.

I'd love to have it IF I had a spare 200 and IF I could effort to fill a 200 gal. tank on a camper that gets 6 mpg.

Guess I'll just drive my ancient Silverado.

Should have waited for today to do the repairs, as the predicted rain hasn't materialized. That ok, it's done.

Starting to drag stuff out from under the house crawl space. We have helped quite a bit with the packing. Rosie has felt guilty ever since they told us when they were moving as we have been committed to her nephews wedding for some time.

Matt, what did you fix for your neighbor? This kind of behavior is not found in my neighborhood ...

He had a check engine light so I pulled the code and diagnosed a bad evap purge solenoid/valve the other day. I ordered the part on eBay (1/2 price dealer list). So I swapped that out and cleared the code. He also told me the AC was blowing warm. Then he told me it was serviced last year at a shop. So I figured it had a slow leak (most likely in the evaporator in the dashboard). So I hooked up the manifold gauges and found the pressure low but still charged a bit (which is a good thing, no vacuum needed). I pumped a can of 134 in and brought the pressure up to a better level. Still a little low, but I only had one can on hand (he laughed and said it was for his mother in law so he didn't care ). It is blowing cold, though. I told him fixing the leak isn't worth it.

This neighbor is a very good friend of mine. He did the siding on the back of my house last week around the new sliding door along with a new cedar kick plate and wouldn't take any money.

So we bartered and everyone wins in the deal

Nice Matt.....its the American way.......

Happy B-d to the Mrs. Captmike.......that's a nice fiver you got there also....enjoy!

Ya Bill you get one of those with the big trailer on the back and six mpg would be a good day......somehow I don't think the fuel cost really matter to those guys.......

Looks to be clearing up a bit but i am in for the day in heavy nap mode......

That's the best way to work things out Matt. All are happy and uncle sam isn't involved.

We to our son home today from the campground and the caddy threw a stabilitrack, traction control and brake system error. I think it is one of the wheel hub sensor that went bad. We had one replace already on the left rear.

I'll have to get the code reader on Tuesday when I go to work.

Greetings! Tough day here, headed to the golf course at about 7:30AM. Played golf, then afterward had to tough it out on the patio and have a tasty beverage, then headed home for a BBQ. I hope I can keep up this grueling pace.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Captmike - that is a nice camping setup!

Enjoy what's left of your day, all!
