That's $15k off because they over heat when you drive them like a sports car. Better off waiting for a 2017 cause GM publically stated that they are going to fix the problem.

Speaking of money, the house beside me just went up for sale.
I didn't realize how much prices were going up around here.

It's just a rancher, 3b,2b , 2 car garage on slightly over an acre. It is 1,800 sq.ft.

BUT, it's listed for $479,000. Good grief.

GETTING ORGANIZED FOR THE ANNUAL DOVE SHOOT IN WESTERN OK, ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES FOR THE OKIES & ARKIES. #2 GRANDDAUGHTER NOT COMING THIS YEAR, MUST BE IN A GIRLY PHASE.

TRAP SPRUNG LAST NIGHT BUT EMPTY. I SUSPECT A POSSUM ROOTING THE TRAP AROUND; THEY ARE TOO STUPID TO FIND THE DOOR.

Hhmmmm. You could sell your house and finish he 67. Hell for that money you could buy several track ready sports cars along with it. Too bad you sold the trailer. If you added a tow hitch to one of the cars it would have gave you a place to sleep. Man, am I full of $#!+ today, or what? DON'T ANSWER THAT!

Speaking of which, back in the 90's Sue and I bought beepers and it came with a phone number that would beep you for life. For the hell of it I called it recently ...... It was disconnected.

More craziness. Recently I went to home depot and bought a roller set, brush and paint tin combo. It's time to replace the 99 cent tin one I bought back in 1993. I think I got all the use out of it I could as a paint tin. I'll save it though. Might come in handy as an fluid catch.

Howdy! Looks like it might not be quite so sticky today - that would be a nice change of pace. I wasn't too impressed with the Vikings last night, but at least they prevailed.

Glad to hear the surgery went well, Matt!

I carry a garage door opener in my jacket when I'm out shoveling/snowblowing in the winter (I keep a heater going in the garage, so I shut the big door when I'm out). Maybe I should wear it on a belt to look cool :-P

Enjoy your Saturday, Gurus!

Good Morning Gurus....I'm here....still have some general discomfort. Slept better last night, but not great. The doctor left some type of steroid releasing packing in my sinuses and I think it is causing the insomnia. Nose is slowly starting to clear up. Lots of use of the neti pot (Tommy...). Looking forward to this being done

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

....geez Bill you mean some folks actually take their Z06's to the track...? That's crazy.....

Steroids huh......are you all of a sudden bulking up more Matt...?

That's a lot of money for a 3 bedroom house.....could you not build one cheaper.....or is it the land costs that drive them up.....?

I think the prices are so high because of all the energy savings by using a swamp cooler instead of A/C.

Actually, now I'm thinking about a garage addition. My house is smaller that that but by adding a garage, I could turn the old garage into another bedroom and full bath.

The trailer only fit race cars not Corvettes.

I have a blue belt, a couple gees, some numchucks and a box full of throwing stars.
But I think I forgot how to use um.

A one acre lot, a block from me is listed at $225,000
And they won't let me put a mobile home on it.

My winter bill runs $250. My summer bill runs $350 a month so in answer to your question, cost me $100 a month to cool the house. A bargain really. F@(%!~g cable bill is almost that much. F@(%!~g phone/internet bill is about $163 a month. Thanks ......... Now you got me thinking about those f@(%!~g bandits.

Hey guys...I've been in the shop working on stuff and time got away from me. Glad you're feeling better Matt. Trying to remember what that house looked like Bill, Sounds like a sh!tload to me.....It costs us more than that to cool our place, but then again, the electric rated here in our town are about the highest in the state, but I ain't complaining yet. Brad I really don't want to hear that S word yet.

So, you only heat for 2 months and only cool for 2 months out of the year?

If it makes U feel better, my cable/internet bill is $181 and I get zero movie channels.

My bill for hookers and beer is quite a bit higher.

It's actually very clean and rust-free. A little rust but not as much as the guys on the MG forum were warning about. She wants to sell it, so I may be able to get it pretty cheap.

It looks pretty good.

I bought a 78 Datsun 280Z like that for 2 grand. The guy had it painted and his wife decided she didn't want to drive it. Sat outside for 4 years.

I buffed the paint, came out like new, polished the alum wheels and just cleaned the interior. Drove it for 4 months & sold it for $4,500.

Thinking I'll offer $2500, I'll go up to $3000, but it will take a few $$$ to get it into driver shape. Rebuild the brakes, tune up, Fluid changes, probably tires, carbs rebuilt (more than likely), axle seals maybe and check wheel bearings. Buff out the paint, thoroughly clean the interior and it should be good to go.

I would do it but I think the purchase price is less than what you'll invest to tighten that baby up. Nice ice cream shop/hamburger joint driver.

The guys on the MG forum aren't too big on it. One guy is really down on it, reading into the pictures, things that just aren't true. They did point out a few things that I could understand, but they think I want to completely restore it....I don't, Like Tommy said, ice cream shop/hamburger joint driver. I might try $2000, that seemed to be the number that kept coming up on the MG forum.

And yes, Tommy, I'll probably be in with another $1500-2000. So, If I can go it for $2000 plus $2000 repairs, might be a nice $4000 driver. Might take me a year or so to get it done.

Well, yea on the Vettes.

Back when I had Vette number one (out of 7), a friend had a 240. He spent some bucks on it, Panasport wheels, pearl white paint with bright pearl blue racing stripes, black interior with blue seat inserts and blue door panel inserts that matched the stripes. 4 point rollbar, reworked heads, cam and 3 Weber carbs. Plus Abarth exhaust with twin tips in front of the driver's side rear wheel.

He did some hill climbs with it. It was decent fast for a 6.

I'll skip on the MG, if someone can/will find me a midyear in similar condition for the same money.....heck I'd even go as much as $5000 for a midyear in the same condition.

I remember a gal I worked with had an MG like that except it was green with tan interior. After work we'd have to give her a push start, since the starter was kaput. She lived on a hill, so could get it going by herself in the morning.
