Morning my homies......Hope your box of parts get there today Bill.....Matt we kinda miss you around here....hope you are feeling better these days...Tom I think those are the roads that Corvettes are made for....
today.......I don't know yet.......do some hanging out and some chores....I see a list has miraculously appeared now that I have downtime.......hmmm....amzining...... Onward and upward Guru's....... Gris I am looking at a used S&W 360 PD 357 Mag....it weighs 14 oz when loaded.....I have held the gun and it is like a feather. I'm thinking it is brutal to shoot being that light.......I like because it can use 38 specials for the range.........any experience with one of those.......? Being that light means its pricy.......they want $850 for it. A new 640 is around 450......but only a shoots .38's..... just thinking..... |

Final prep day. Got to get all my ducks in a row for an early AM departure tomorrow. Looks like everywhere I'll be going has a chance of precipitation. Holy crap, the typhoon heading to Taiwan and China looks insane. I also saw the midwest is in for a joyride over the next week. Weather ..........

Hidey-ho! Had a nice time on the river this weekend, weather was delightful. And the Viqueens are 1-0, so life is good. I drove the Vette today, first time in a couple weeks. I'd better take advantage while I can - it'll be going back into hibernation again before I know it.

Shooting 357 mag will kick more . Use wad cutters as you get use to the gun. In my academy.we.shot.a minimum of 1000 rounds getting use to the weapon.

I ordered another $60 of little chit today from Long Island Corvette Supply, first order was from Paragon Corvette Reproductions. Both companies only manufacturer/sell C2 parts. Both are pretty good but pricy. And both have some of the original GM tooling. Long Island has a decent size manufacturing facility in well, Long Island.  You have to do your homework on 67 reproduction parts, some are excellent, some are crap. Today before DNBFS, my work list is: Take the garbage can out to the curb. |

GOT QUITE A SHOCK WHEN I WENT TO VISIT THE CONVALESCENT TOMATO THIS MORNING. SITTING THERE IN FRONT OF THE SHOP WAS A RED 'VERT WITH A BLACK TOP. BLACK TOP?!?!? WHISKY TANGO FOXTROT, OVER--- THEN I NOTICED IT WAS A C5 :-) THE TOMATO LOOKS GOOD, SHOULD COME HOME THIS EVENING OR TOMORROW. THE PAINT MATCH LOOKS GREAT AT FIRST BLUSH. |

...I'm getting real tired of the athletes protest during the National Anthem......what they don't have enough to do or take care of.....very disrespectful of the men and women who work hard in our peace keeping forces.....I emailed the NFL and told them I was not going to watch anymore games until they get that fixed......it's really pissing me off....

Huh, UPS showed up at lunch time.
 Crazy- The amount of gaskets GM used on the C2 heater. New Speaker - same crappy 1967 sound. no Bose for me. I'd rather listen to the sidepipes anyway. And $260 worth of crappy  insulation. Some to be glued in, some goes in with rubber push buttons.Started on the instrument panel restoration, see C2 tech. We went to eat at a local brew pub. I tried one of their local brews....it was OK, real hoppy though and I'm not big on real hoppy beers.

REALLY LOOKS GREAT, THE PAINT IS A PERFECT COLOR MATCH AS FAR AS I CAN TELL (AND NO MORE GRAVEL CHIPS ON THE HOOD) ACTUALLY LOOKS BETTER THAN WHEN I BOUGHT IT. JUST A HAIR UNDER THE ESTIMATE. |

Hi guys, here this evening.
Looking forward to a couple of days off. I need to get the grass cut tomorrow. Got a new (used) ratchet in the mail today. In fact I've gotten quite a few things in the last week or two including my first full set of snap on wrenches. Pretty nice stuff. Can't take it ($$$) with you, right Tommy? Marcus, that gun looks absurd, sorry. Who the hell carries a snub nose .357? I have a 6" .357 and the recoil/kick is absurd. Just get a nice lightweight/featherweight .38 and you'll be fine. And $400 more in your pocket. Gris, hope the To-mah-to turns out just right. Be sure to take some pictures. Until tomorrow all... |
