Good Morning CGs!

Supposed to be interesting today weather-wise. They say we'll hit 86* today. A far cry from the overnight 30s we've been experiencing the past few days. I'd prefer that it just stayed a more consistent temperature, but I guess I don't get a say in the matter.

Car is still driving well. I have made the decision that the first spring project is going back to rubber motor mounts. I just hope the aftermarket ones hold up. I can't seem to find any factual reviews about someone who has used them on a Corvette. I also need to get the tune "finalized". It's close, but not perfect.

How was everyone's weekend?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning all! I hope today finds all of you in good fortune.
Today is the last day of my 5-day w'kend. Other than a 9am appt, the day is mine. I'm pretty sure I can fill it with plenty of screwing off. Then again, I do feel the compulsion to realize something for my time, so there's no telling what I might tear up today.....

Greetings! Rainy today, but I'm hoping to get in one more round of golf tomorrow - I'm guessing that will be about the end of it for the season. I don't think I played past mid-September last year. Meanwhile, I think I'll change the oil on the Vette tonight and start getting ready to put it away.

Have a good day, Gurus!

I spent the weekend trap shooting. Winds at Edwards air force base were 25-50. Scores were down a little lol. I shot well in my first round. Then couldn't hit much of anything. Had lots of fun. Rain this morning. Very light. Rain is leaving soon. Have a great day guys.

Morning guys...Lots done yesterday. I said it was going to be warm yesterday, like near record highs, I was wrong, we busted through the 'near record' and beat it by 9 degrees. It was 99 yesterday. old record was 90. Going to be hot again today.

They are coming to pull the meter on the shop so I can swap the panels out. I'm ready for it and hope that I can do the main swap in just a few minutes, so they can put the meter back in.

The old and the new.

Marcus was right, those guys were planning to blow up an apartment complex and Mosque over in the 'city'. Glad they got them before they did it.

DID HE PISS SOMEBODY OFF OR DID THE COPS JUST PUT HIM OUT OF HIS MISERY?

Fire's 55% contained, still considered active but they are mostly cleaning up hot spots.
Winds today are down to 10-15

Today I can get back to my abby-normal life.

Well, a very busy morning here. The man from the city utilities came to pull the meter, so I could swap panels and he says "Tom, you did pull a permit to do this didn't you?" I says, ""I didn't know I was supposed to. I'll go down right now to get it." He says, "I'll go ahead and pull the meter for you." So I make the run to the city office and get me permit. I get back and even though I planned it out very carefully, I had to put the panel in and take it out 4 times before I got everything to work right. I find that two of the circuits are about a foot short of being able to reach the breaker positions, so I have to junction box them. But by noon I had him back to put the meter back in. So he walks in to look at my work and says"Everything looks good, Tom, except I don't see a ground wire." I say, "Never was told I needed one." "Yea, you really ought to put one in. I've got them down at the shop. Let's go get what you need." So run down and he get me an 8 and a half foot copper coated rod, 5/8" diameter, a clamp and 12" of #6 copper wire. "drive it all the way into the ground, clamp the wire to it and finish driving it all the way into the ground." Let me tell you, that was NO easy task, but it is done. Now just waiting for #3s' BF to get here and crawl in the attic to run the wire for the three new circuits, hook them up and finish it off.

I'm, kind of, anal about how things 'look' when they are opened up. So it has to be neat.

Very nice, TB. I'm not a fan of doing electrical work, but I will if needed.

Marcus, I remember the old glass fuses. Had them in the house I grew up in.

A little over an hour after #2s' BF got here we were done. He crawled up in the attic (where the temp was probably 110* and did the dirty work. Then he came down and we finished up the panel and the wiring in the walls. I am so glad I had him come and give me a hand. I gave him $40 for his time and fed him smoked brisket for supper. Now I'm just waiting for the inspector to come by tomorrow so I can put the insulation back in and sheetrock back on.

I don't mind electrical work, as long as I can so it in a room where I I don't have to crawl around in it. Unlike f@#king plumbing.

I'm hoping that I can get things back in order tomorrow. Then it will be a matter of waiting for my control box to return and the rest of my stuff to get it up and running. OH, I DO have some plumbing to do.....but this plumbing is for the air suction hold down table. Not too worried about it springing a leak that will flood my shop with water.
