Go to hell Gurus!

April fools....

Anyway, good morning.

Snow and ice in Colorado Springs. WTF? Hello???? APRIL!

Seems like it has not been spring in about three years.

I brought a bunch of photos of my old cars to work today. Need to scan them, and share them later.

But I need to write a couple scripts first. So, I'll do that, then check back in.

Have a super day!

We got about 6 inches of heart-attack snow yesterday on top of a bunch of gooey slush. I refused to shoval or snowblow that crap, so I just drove my wife's Jeep up and down the driveway to flatten it out. It'll melt by July anyway.

Thanks for the tune.

Been on a Vista to XP downgrade.

Just a word of warning to anyone considering this process. Don't try it unless you have predetermined access to all the manufactures drivers.

The next time a customer buys one of these cheap HP laptops with Vista preinstalled I'm gonna tell them to get their money back. If a computer has the word "entertainment" anywhere on the case, run like the wind!!!!!

A couple of eighteen inch drifts in my back yard. Not much to shovel out front. The wind took most of it to my neighbor to the south. Like pianoguy said it will melt by July.

Well so far I am very pleased with how my ebay listing is going. Its up to 5 grand and still has 4 + days to go. I got some work on the house done last night with more plans for tonight. This weekend I will be ripping up the rest of the kitchen and I hope to have ALL my new applicences by Friday so I can install them when I get my cabinets.

Drove long enough today on sales calls to fill up my gas tank twice, gas prices suck.

The bad news is that I will do it again tomorrow

JR, just ordred a new THinkpad, ordered it with Wind-XP-Pro :-)

Greetings! Just got home from a conference all day in downtown LA. I was late back from one of our breaks, and I got voted as our group representative to discuss our findings. The joys of group work! It was a good mtg, though.

I have one of the IBM thinkpads as well. It is the tablet pc with touchscreen as well. I really like it. The screen is only 12" but I can plop it out and demo the software we sell with my laptop and can also show a handheld demo with my cell phone. Pretty cool.

The new bar/grill customer is waiting until Thursday to open, so I get to play catchup at the office tomorrow.

I have a regular IBM ThinkPad laptop - T30. I'm sure it's old news by now, but I love it. It's my second IBM ThinkPad. When this one dies, I'll probably get the Lenovo version.

Went from Windows 98SE to XP, to Vista within a 6 month period.

The two home desktops are both running Vista now, one has the home basic, the other has the Multi-Media package (Came with an upgrade when I bought the unit).

Can't say much about laptops, but I like Vista on the desktops. Good for home use.
What's really goofy (to me, anyway) is my daughter's iMac Pro Laptop. Exspensive paper weight, in my opinion.

Work unit is still XP (Driver/network problems I'd guess)

Vista (Windows Version 6) has gone over the edge to give the user a more visual experience and attempt to enhance security. IMHO the common user is not prepared to learn a new colorful OS. This is why PC manufactures have not stopped shipping XP. IT departments are unwilling to make the change since the hassle level is a 9.9 on the 1-10 scale. For those standalone or home network users who have adopted to Vista, are few and far between. The gap may close as MS will pull the plug on XP, then PC mfgrs will be forced to ship only Vista.

I predict, there will be a lot of screaming!

I'm seeing the price of used XP machines actual on rise as Vista's negative performance is gaining public attention.

Personally I see XP machines being the mainstay of home and small businesses for many years to come.

I forgot to mention I use XP on my laptop. We use XP in our office and on all the systems we sell. We still have some 16 bit programs we need to run to troubleshoot when there are problems. XP is the best system Microsoft has had since 98. I was not crazy about 2000 and ME was another Vista.
