I am sorry... just can't get my heart into it tonight.

We had to take our kitty, Gabby, to the vet today. She is getting her left front leg amputated this afternoon. She has bone cancer in it and the only treatment is to take the limb.

As you can figure, coming up with 10 questions just isn't in the cards.

Next Thursday is super booked, and then comes Thanksgiving, so we are rescheduling for December.

Sorry to hear about that. I had some friends go through the same scenario many years ago. Very sad.

I know how you feel. My pets mean more to me than most people. They're right behind my wife and the cars when it comes to maintenance expenses. I wouldn't have won trivia anyway...........

We had the same dilemma for our Late Great Dane. He had bone cancer in his knee/leg. The said that they could amputate, but that would have been really rough for him to get around. Not only that, they wanted $1500 just to do it and of course there was no guarantee. We had to put him down a couple weeks later. They say bones are the "highway" in our bodies and that cancer spreads like a wildfire through them. The cancer had spread through to his lungs quickly.

Hang in there Andy and Bastett. Tough times will lie ahead for you all I am sure.

Bummer, Bud. I hope that Gabby is recovering well. It sucks when your critters have problems. Give her a petting for me (knowing Gabby, I would never get a chance).

As for an update - she is recovering just fine! A little groggy, of course, but doing fine.

We will see her tomorrow and more than likely pick her up on Saturday morning.

We went to visit the Gabber-kitties tonite. She has been shaved around her left side from behind her neck to her belly, about 3" wide. The inscision is about 6" long and bound with a ton of staples.

The good news is that she purred for us! She was glad to see us. We will be bringing her home tomorrow...
