Good Morning CGs!

Wow, is it this late already? I am on daddy daycare duty today and my folks are in from out of town, so I got a little side tracked. On the agenda today is a little lunch, hitting the weights, doing some family stuff.

What's everyone's plan for today?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

HOT CHICK FRIDAY!

Good morning! Not much going on here today, just the usuall Friday visit with my Grandaughter. It's raining and cool so it'll be a inside play day. It's amazing how small this house seems to get after several hous of chasing a 3 year old around!
Have a good day

Well, I need to be productive today, but can't get motivated. I'm leaning towards putting the carb back on the Chevelle and firing it up. If that goes well, trying to sort out the rear brake light/turn signal issue. Or, I could begin pulling the truck's 383 back out out of the 62 so I can install the recently dyno'd stroked 327.

I dunno. Both seem like a lot of work. I did just get off Craigslist and there are a couple 69-72 Blazers I would like to check out, along with a 72 short bed, and a 1965 El Camino. Problem is I friggin hate talkin to sellers and dealing with them after I drove out to see a car that wasn't as described. Maybe I'll just sit around and surf the net...

Taken yesterday on 1-1-09.

Productive day off for me.

Yesterday I went on a hangover motorcycle ride, but we all decided it was best to cut it short and went home 80 miles later.

Fixed my truck, (burn proof plug wires to replace the ones cooked on the headers)

Also fixed a Suzuki Boulevard 650, rode that to work today. Carb was completely blocked up with gunk and a dead battery. I'm gonna flip this bike in the springtime.

Interested in a '69 Stepside? I think I want to sell mine. It's a driver, not pristine, but there's no surprises. What sort of condition are you looking for?

Central Coater, I'd be interested in a short bed fleetside, but the step sides never done anything for me. There was a 72 Blazer priced right, body looked OK, but needing some work,... said it wouldn't idle in gear.

I think I'm going to call on the 65 El Camino first, because I have a lot of stuff left over from my 65 Chevelle. The 72 Short bed fleet side was in fair condition and had a 383. I'll probably call on it too.

I was shopping for the fleetside also, even with the premium price for a shortbed, but ended up with a stepside and figured I'd just swap beds.

But damn, it's growing on me. Fleetside (SWB) doesn't look as classic. Really depends on what look you're going for, and what wheels you put on it.

I want a truck/blazer/El Co, that looks mostly stock and is relatively unmolested. I prefer my trucks to have stock wheels w/hub caps, or truck rallys. I like my trucks to look like old man trucks... Here is a pic of my current C10 long bed.

I molest all my vehicles.

I love those blazers though. Prices on them are nuts though.

Check Craigslist. There are some reasonably priced projects out there.

If not done properly, they look like redneck convertibles.

Aside from the scoop, I prefer the one on the bottom... just not into shiny things.

This chick was so hot they had to put her out with a fire extinguisher. Ya know what I'm sayin ?

This other chick I know was so hot she burned every guy in the neighborhood.

I was in a strange town and I was lookin for some action so I asked a guy If he knew where I could find some hot chicks.
He said, What's a matter, they don't have no KFC where you come from?

Not saying the builder didn't do a good job on it, but I personally do not care for the lowering job, tube grill, missing emblems, aftermarlet body side molding, the rims, and the non-GM red color... but that's just my opinion, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that I would be in the minority...
