Good Morning CGs!

Another glorious morning, huh? Wife went to work today so I'll be watching the rugrat. Plans today are to pull the vette out of the garage and give her a quick wash (I never wash my car, but even I'm disgusted. So much dust on it!). I'm also gonna try to mop the basement floor and stairs to clean up some of the lingering drywall dust and sawdust. It infiltrates every part of the house and it's annoying. I have already replaced the furnace filter three times in the last 2 weeks and I probably need to do it again. I'd like to squeeze a workout in at the end of the day, too.

I cut the copper stubs and put the compression fittings on last night as well as assembled the sink and put the shower hardware on. I was waiting for tonight to set the toilet so my BIL can give me a hand. Seems to be easier with two people. Then I can set the vanity in place and hook up the trap. I'll have a functioning bathroom after that! Yowzers.

What's everyone else got planned?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Sounds like that bathroom came together quickly - congrats, Matt!

It'll be around 45 here today, practically tropical. Hopefully we'll shed a bunch of snow. Good day to make sure the windshield washer reservoir is full.

Today is one of a run of beautiful days here. Starting to warm up a little with highs in the high 70s. Lows to be in the low 60s. Clear blue skies again. We have only had an inch of rain so far this year. 10 minutes after you wash your car the dust layer starts settling again. It's been a winless battle with keeping the cars clean. Have to go out to the nursery today and bleed the brakes on a golf cart. Hopefully I can get in and get out without hearing; Since your already here, can you (fill in the blank)? She always likes to tie up my day with honey-do's.

I woke up at 6am to the sound of a broken sprinkler spraying on my window today. Went in the backyard and thought I was still dreaming.

The weeds are 4' tall. Shit! Those things just popped up overnight, I swear. Time to dust off the weedwacker.

I had washed my vette 3 weeks ago, and covered it to keep it clean. Then we got all that rain. Well, not it's covered with fine silt and the cover is still on it, the wind is probably blowing the cover around and sanding the rest of the paint off.

I did polish and work on the bike though.

I can't open the door on my truck until my new hinges arrive. Finally got off my ass to fix that one.

All my stuff is crappy.

Got the floor mopped early this morning while Sam was still sleeping. Couple feedings and a few poopy diapers later, I also got to car washed. It was really filthy. I'm baking some banana bread right now. A productive day overall. I still would like to drop a tire off at discount to get patched if I get a chance, but it may have to wait. Try to tackle the bathroom when wifey gets home.

PS - pics of tile are up.

You've never tried my banana bread. Yum.

And I'm making homemade sweet & sour chicken for din-din.

Not a good day on my end. Put my mother in the hospital today, so pardon if I'm not around much. Been having issues last couple of weeks or so already plus our ice storm before that which crippled the state. Shessh, hoping for some good luck already
