Good Morning CGs!

How is everyone this morning? Back to work all bright eyed and busy tailed? Not me. Haha sucks to be you.

Gott ado some last minute things on the basement today, carpet guys are coming tomorrow. I wanted to paint the trim last night, but couldn't because the fill in wasn't done. Oh well, I'll get the painting done today and try to stop by the store for a few last odds and ends.

What's everyone else up to this Monday?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Gooooooooooood moooooooooorrrrrrrrrrning gurus. I got the wife up, packed her lunch and sent her to work. Forecast for
the PNW is partly sunny temps in the 50's. I may mow the lawn today. Go hit the mall so I can use their high speed connection to get my laptop updated. Look for work and have dinner ready for when wife comes home. AAAAAAAhhhhh the lovely life of a house husband.

Greetings! Another typical Monday, the alarm clock is a most unwelcome sound. I was just hitting my stride and the weekend was over. Supposed to get some snow tonight, so I guess I'll start on beautification projects on the Vette (buff, wax, clean undercarriage, etc.). I have resisted any temptation to start working on the sound system install - keep getting cold feet.

Finally got my living room painted and my bathroom 90% done. I just have to get the closet ceiling in the bathroom textured, the door installed, the base boards and crown moldings and I will be done! The only thing I am going to do before I deploy is install the door. Everything else can wait though I might install the base boards since I have them. Pics to come soon!!
The living room will be getting a new floating floor upon my return from my vacation and base boards. The windows may or may not get trim around them, I dunno yet. I dont want to have too many projects during my vacation time.
Arcade is coming along. I still need a security bit set (should get one today) then I can take apart the rotating light and replace the bulb. Still got to get the stator for the marquee so it can light up, got a new bulb already for it. After that this thing should work like new, only thing I want to do after this is install new T moldings.

I was going to work on the house yesterday but Formula 1 and NHRA blew that. So, I get to go to Lowes this a.m. to buy oak handrails & balisters.
I have to fill in the holes in the wall where I tore out the half wall. I hate textured walls! They're a real pain in the ass to repair & match the texture.

Sad day for us today. We lost a member of our household family. We had to say good-bye to Birdie. Birdie never got a name other than Birdie. We caught him at the nursery 5 years ago. Just a scared little thing sitting in a tree. It amazing how attached you get to pets. He played and said peek-a-boo. Nodded his head and said ya. Threw us kisses. Said Thank You when you fed him and lots, lots more He just got sick and died in less than a day. Every living creature must die one day. And for the ones that are close it's always so sad. Bye bye Birdie. I will miss you.

Lotta crashes with the new cars. But the passing's definately improved.
The new cars are fugly, but at least they're on slicks like a racecar's supposed to be.
Button won but, I never care who wins a race I'm not in.

Good Morning Gurus!

Sorry about Birdie, Tommy. That's cool that you can find a bird like that just hanging out at your nursery. We don't have anything like that in Colorado. At least I sure don't think so. Unless you want a hawk or an eagle in a cage.

Kinda ugly and gray here today. Maybe a little snow later.

So far the couple little things I tried to do, business-wise have been thwarted by missing information. Tried to check my new business account online, but I don't have a password. Tried to print a non-disclosure agreement for a credit union I will be doing commercials for, but the attachment wasn't there...

So I will take that as a sign to do nothing!

Have a super day, Gurus!

Tommy, I really feel for you. At least you gave him 5 years of love that he may not have had otherwise.

I had a scare yesterday but my bird pulled thru. I have a cherryheaded conure that just won't leave my giant macaw alone. Both were out of their cages, I walked downstairs for one minute, came back and they were on the floor fighting. The big macaw bit the conure in the head and messed up his jaw. He couldn't move his jaw to eat and I freeked. This a.m. he started to eat some ground up seeds and applesauce so, looks like he'll survive.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry about Birdie too Tommy.
I'm off to the oil sands again for another week. Still a lot of snow to melt but we're finally getting above freezing. This has been the one of the coldest March's in years. Oh well happy Monday Gurus

Sorry to hear about your bird, Tommy. That's the toughest part of having a pet.

Birds are like a pain in the ass friend. You wish he wouldn't come around. Then when he doesn't you miss his intrusions.
