What's the best way to get tree sap off your car.
Besides not parking under a pine tree to begin with? |

Dawn dishwashing soap.
Then a good coat of wax to keep it from sticking in the first place. |

Many opinions on this subject, I have always had good luck with that Nu-Finish polish. If the sap hasn't turned "rock hard" yet, it should come off fairly easy with a good polish. Then a good heavy coat of wax.

I'd try and disolve it first with WD40 (like tire marks at the track) or maybe OOPS, Dawn.
I definately wouldn't use polish or even a clay bar before getting most of it off. |

Actually, the stuff that removes stickers from cars - you can find at the parts store for $5 a can will do the trick too and won't hurt the paint.

I've used wd40 and goo gone. That and a little elbow grease. They also make tar/sap remover that should probably work. Matthew |

Goo Gone & OOPS are just about the same.
They work well on dried out masking tape, latex paint and the road striping paint. |
