I was interviewed and photographed this weekend about the Bankruptcy Case. I think that this is a bad case of being taken out of context or me saying the wrong thing. When I said "dead wood" I meant poor performing business not people and my wife said that it sounded pretty harsh. What do you think? I also said... better cars for the future, not better cars today... damn!!

I did not read it as anything negative. I think you are fine. But a lot of people will read that, and lots of folks will read their own situation into it. You can't make everyone happy if you speak the truth.

But again, I don't see where you said anything insensitive.

Great photo, BTW. The stripes made it in!

I totally agree with your comment about the misconceptions (ignorance) of the general public regarding the current products. We love our '08 Impala.

Sounds like a level headed response to me. To deny dead wood would be tantamount to saying the ship wasn't really sinking. Well the ship is in drydock now. Let's see if she'll ever get back into the water again.

I think the articles are fine and you have nothing to worry about.

Also, they got that article up pretty quick considering they took the photo Sunday the 31st at 12:33.

Ditto! Very cool that your interview made it into the article!

I thought it was more than fair. I like the part about getting people to ditch their misconceptions, and recognizing the newer generation of car enthusiasts. With most long time hobbyists, there seems to be general resentment of the kids getting into cars and what their tastes are, but like it or not, they are the trendsetters and future car buyers, and rest assured they probably won't be installing neons on their Cadillacs when they turn 50.
