Does anyboby have the same problem ? I can use a Windex type cleaner twice. Then use Stoners for the final wipe and I'll be damned the window forms a hazy film again the very next day. I normally drive home into the setting sun and its more noticable at that point. I just want a clear windshield. Any suggestions ?

Stop using stoners... They are lazy by nature.
Maybe it isn't so much what you're using to clean the window, as much as it is the stuff you use to clean the dash? Maybe the chemicals are leaving the dash pad during the heat of the day and depositing on your glass. |

It's caused by all the plastics off gassing.
I would use a home brew mix... an empty spray bottle, filled with hot water, a good shot of Dawn and a couple of ounces of ammonia. Shake and apply using 0000 wire wool. Then use Windex to rince off. |

0000 wool is very soft... hence the 4 zeros. It is used a lot in the window tint biz.

I bought some real fine white microfiber cloths last year that work great - you just use water to wet it, then wring it out until it's almost dry. Leaves no streaks or residue. I got them from somebody advertising on CF, but I think you can get them at auto parts stores. I'll see if I can find a link.

It is all over. Direct driver eye level thru to the passenger side. I can wipe my thumb pad across it to remove it. But it comes back. Maybe if I didn't breath it wouldn't fog. LOL

I use chrome polish on the outside of windows to remove water spots. Even use it with a foam buff pad on a drill.
Chrome polish on windows is a old hotrodder's trick. I'm currently using Mother's Mag polish. You may want to try it on a descrete spot. Was your car ever repainted? |

My driver's side window was pretty bad. I used a clay bar on it, and it improved it a lot. Just a suggestion, YMMV.
