Good Morning CGs!

Another day of sleeping in, this is a dangerous habit - I won't wanna up at 5:30 when it's time to go back to work

Well, I feel like a dope. I thought the water pump was bad, but due to my lack of proper inspection I found out it wasn't. When I started changing the PS fluid yesterday I found that the heater core hose was nicked right about the water pump and it made it look like the weep hole was bad. So I'm glad that I didn't have to swap it out, but still feel like a dope because as well as I usually check things out I just bought a part to throw at it. Oh well. Easy fix. I was considering keeping the pump in the parts cabinet for later, maybe I'll take it back. I dunno.

We were planning on taking the baby to the zoo today, but it's supposed to rain. I'm gonna head to the store and pick up some materials to finish the gate for the pool, instead. Maybe my neighbor and I can get that started. Yesterday he came over and fixed my gutter, so I went over and fixed his fridge - reciprocal barter system

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning Gurus!

I'd keep the part, unless money is tight. They aren't gonna get cheaper.

I have an edit with a client today. Normally I do not offer that as an option because it's the difference between a 3 hour process and a 6 hour process once the client gets involved.

So, enjoy your day. Catch ya tonight, Gurus!

I'd take the part back, unless it's lifetime warranty. If you use it past the warranty, and it's bad, you're stuck.

Barter system is a beautiful thing. With the potential of big taxes in the near future, barter is the thing to keep the government out of your pocket.

I'd much rather feel like an idiot than replace something that's working fine. Glad your getting off easy (this time).

Record breaking heat in SoFlo. I've been hiding from it as much as I can but today I had some outdoor chores that needed to be done. It is hot, hot, hot. When I was out by the mailbox my new mail-lady dropped off my mail. She is also hot, hot, hot. I'll be waiting by my mail box a little more often in the future. Thanks for the junk mail mail-lady. I have some things I have to do on the cars like wash and wax the Vettes. Maybe I'll just put it off till later ............. like November.

My niece and her husband built much of their house by bartering. He builds stone fireplaces, and has traded his work for electrical, plumbing, countertops, etc.

I tweaked my back this morning, feel like I should be shuffling around like Tim Conway when he played the old guy.

Called the guy who put my engine together to ask some questions about the cam install - he said to bring it over tonight to see if they can find anything.

Barter? Hell I just work for free! I got the concrete blocks laid, and the wall torn out this morning. I am sopped to the gills again, this humidity could kill a guy and it's supposed to be even hotter this afternoon. Brad, How did the golf go last night, is that what tweaked your back? Matt, I'd probably take the part back, you never know if you'll need it. Tommy, stay out of the heat as much as possible, it's a killer and be careful with the mail lady...she's a federal employee..

I don't know if golf had anything to do with it, but that's always a possibility. At least we won our match. All I know is I bent over this morning for something and then stood up and wished I hadn't. Gonna have to consult my Trigger Point book to see if it has a remedy.

Well, I've been busy watching to rugrat for a bit and cleaning up around the house. Gonna head downstairs for a workout. Still didn't make it to the store yet for the gate materials.

I'm still debating on the part. It was only $48, but it does come with a lifetime warranty. When I pull my motor next year I'm gonna replace the pump anyway, so what's it hurt to sit there?

Weather is cool here today, so should make for a pleasurable (ie less sweaty) workout.

I'm having one of those weeks.....

I've got 2 bottles of Gentleman Jack on my desk unopened....

If it keeps up, one (if not both) of those bottles are gonna be opened!!!!!!!

I HATE working up proposals.....

Numbers.....

All I see is numbers.......

Maybe you ought to check out Reno now instead of the spring.

No matter what the weather, working on houses is a pain in the ass.
I finally laid the first pieces of hardwood. The first pieces are the most important and since they're up against a wall, the air stapler won' fit. Each has to be drilled and hand nailed, countersunk, etc.

Bill, I actually looked at Reno in August as well as the Beau Rivage in Biloxi Mississippi. Also in the running is a 5 day cruise to Ocho Rios,Jamaica and Grand Cayman. As long as I have A/C I will survive. Our 25th Wedding Anniversary is August 5th. Truly a miricle. We got there living one day at a time. Some of them very looooonnnnngggg days. Many of them in my home away from home ..... the dog house.

Tommy Congrats on the milestone, ours is the 9th of August (34 years coming up, we got married young)

Bill you are right, the first row is the most important one. Once you get it going, it will go pretty fast.

Tom, It's the second marriage for both of us. I got married young too. The first one was just a test. I failed.
