You would think that vette owners would have some sense loyality and value of their rides.. NBC news this weekend did a feature story on a man in Indianapolis that turned in 1995 Massortioti(spell) for cash for clunkers because it would not run for more then 10 minutes before it died...Wow

Many of you guys arent old enough to remember, but a looong time ago Mopars like the Cuda and Super Birds couldnt hardly be given away. Other cars like the AMC S/C Rambler and Javelins had about the same status. We all know the current values of those cars now.
Its gonna take a few years, but the C4 will be worth a good penny one day. At this rate of destruction between turning them into track cars, wrecks, neglect and now the socialists program CFC, there are fewer and fewer everyday. I was a big second generation Camaro Z/28 guy before getting into Vettes. The later cars, 74-81 had the same status that the C4 has. They were the red headed stepchild of the group. Go look on any selling site and check the price on a nicely kept low mile example of say a 74 Z28 or a 77 Z28 of which there were only approximately 14,000 built. Thyere climbing even in this economic environment. Other examples would be station wagons!! Who ever wanted one? Now theyre being turned into cruisers, and some are pretty damn sweet. Everyone go out and enjoy your Vettes. But in doing so, keep them maintained and looking their best. Someday you'll have a nice car to hand down to your sons that will also be worth bit. |
