Good Morning CGs!

Man, I feel like I was just here! We went to a wedding last night so we got home around 1:30 or so. Wifey went to bed a little tipsy and I came on here to check some posts. Finished up around 2:30 and now it's 7:45.

I've gotta call the guy about the engine to go look at it. I have a feeling it's not gonna work for me, but only one way to find out. After that it's lunch with the family. My day's booked.

So how was everyone's Saturday night?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Howdy! We had a great time yesterday at a friend's big outdoor party. I sat in with a couple of bands, lots of fun. Just waiting for the coffee to get done now - not much on the agenda except for washing last week's rain off of the Vette. Looks like a gorgeous day on tap.

Our son is on his way home today (USAF). Right now he is somewhere over the Atlantic with an ETA for Atlanta at 3PM.
It has been a year since he was last home, so really looking forward to having him with us again for a little while anyway.

Very cool Andy! I bet you are excited to see him.

I'm getting ready to go check out the numbers on that motor. Wish me luck...lol.

I was bushed after my day of golf yesterday. Today I have a couple of things lined up. I little detailing/paint correction on a one of our friends pickup. And then later on I need to go work on a computer. Other than that I have an easy day...just trying to get psyched up about the first full week of teaching...

Good Morning Gurus!

Didn't do much yesterday, except some carpet cleaning. Had to take the machine apart to clean it. Pretty exciting.

Watched my Steelers lose to the Redskins.

No plans for today, other than laundry. w00t!

I'm picking up where I left off yesterday before I got the phone call. Motivation factor is low. What's the best sight for finding deals on vacation packages? I'm looking at a 12 day Mediteranean cruise in December. So far I've checked out Vacations To Go (high) and Online Vacation Center (moderate). If you have any good leads for me, I'm all ears.
Right now it looks like about $5k. Hey ..... I could buy another C4 for that ......

Any particular dates, stop-over places Tommy?. I don't do boats, but I can have a look locally if you like.

NCL - Norwegian Cruise Lines Dec 8th 2009 out of Barcelona on the Jade (12 days) with roundtrip air from Miami Florida.
Online Vacation Center gets you in 2 days early with hotel in Barcelona with all tranfers. So far it's the best deal.

I'm not a traveller, but I would live to see Germany. My Fatherland!

All those wacky Germermans.

I'd like to run a Porsche down the autobahn and/or Nurburgring if I ever get there.

PCA/Porsche has just the package for you. I think it runs around $8999.99 per person.

I was missing three exhaust bolts, and two others were loose. I replaced the missing ones and tightened everything up. I'm amazed I couldn't hear exhaust leaking before yesterday. Now I just have to test drive it to see if I burned the gasket out. If so, the project just got a bit harder. As they say...WOOT !!!

Thinking about packing up the Vette and having a few friends meet us out at a local outdoors winery and restaurant for some wine and picnic type foods.

Maybe someday.

But for that price, I could find a beater Targa. I have trouble spending money on an experience. I like tangible stuff, I guess.

Just one of my many "issues".

Outstanding - I'll bet you're chomping at the bit!

Man, Fluff, I'd live to visit zee Motherland again.

Cool pics, Brad. I like the tapper. Lol.

Went and checked out the motor. Thing smoked like a chimney on start up. I'm thinking the rings are completely shot, maybe that damaged the cylinder walls, too. Couldn't find the production code numbers, only the casting number. Weird. Probably a bust.

Is your cas sans center caps, or do you have black ones?

I put some black ones on this spring, for the halibut. I liked the color-keyed look on the Ruby, so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

Since your work schedule doesn't interfere with your vacationing much, why not wait and see if you can find any last-minute deals somewhere like priceline.com?

This time my wife and I are going to join up with my ex father, mother and sister in law. Yep, we all get along.

Can't we all just get along ......

So, today I hung out at the nail parlor while my wife got her nails done. Could have gone through the indoor flea market but I don't need anything. Could have gone to the grocery store but we didn't need anything. So I just sat and inhaled the fumes. Then we stopped off to pick grandma up some goodies and go pay her a visit. She's 94 so we visit with her while we still can. Then off to Macaroni Grill to use a $25 gift card that's been sitting in my wallet for about 2 years. Lastly we met up with my son and went to see a movie together. We saw G.I. Joe. It was a combo of Fantastic Voyage, Star Wars and League of Extrodinary Gentlemen with a touch of Bruce Lee/Jet Li mixed lightly , then stirred.

That concludes our day. I wan't to thank you for joining us and inviting us into your homes. Good Night.
