Good Morning CGs!

Well, I wasn't on here yesterday because I overslept! Ha. I accidentally set my wrong alarm button so I slept in an extra 30 minutes or so. Luckily there was no traffic so I made it to work with no problems, but I had no time for internet and I had to rush a little getting ready. I did get to sleep in though, so that was a nice treat

Wife was supposed to go to work today but they called her off, like usual. So I can play around and tinker in the garage a bit, clean up some more. I've also go some more Christmas lights to hang up. Now, personally, I hate that crap, but my wife wants it and the baby loves it. So you know who wins that argument (not me).

Also supposed to help a buddy with some tax paperwork if he ever shows up today. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

My wife is Jewishish and I am Tommy T-Bonic so for many years we did both. Basically we celebrated Christica or Chaunimas. I've got away the past few years with putting out my fishing Santa, a small ceramic tree and and a big airblown bear holding a star of David. Total put up time about an hour. Same to take down. If I had kids around I'd do more for the kids but that's how it goes when your an empty nester. Still have to dole out plenty of gifts though. :occasion1:

Thanksgiving thoughts..... Who else gets together with family that they don't really get along with just for the sake of appeasing the elders? The food is great, the company, eh! I guess I'm just a curmudgeon at heart. Having family is better than not having family. Gives you someone to loathe.

After reading Pete's itinerary, I think I'll just not bitch about sitting here at the office drinking coffee.

It would be a good day to be a dentist in the Boston area - I imagine there's a lot of teeth-gnashing going on after last night's Patriots-Colts game.

Morning

Spent most of the weekend in bed with a stupid cold.

Went out to the store on Sunday, almost fell out of the driver's seat.

Went back home and back to sleep.

I'm still around, just haven't had anything to contribute so I try and stay out of the way. Been spending a lot of time on the water fishing with all these nice days we've had. Don't think we'll have too many more before winter really sits in.

I'm thinking around the first part of December I'm gonna go to Tampa area and do about a week's worth of Salt Water fishin. I need a break. Fresh water is wearing me out. (what a problem to have.)

If you need me, holler, I'll be around.

I need 3 day weekends.....
Busy with office stuff on Saturday, then I got REAL stoopid and decided to detail both bikes on Sunday.

I've got parts on me that hurt that I didn't even know I had.

At least the bikes look better than they did (I hand't cleaned them in months...). I even got the Vette started - didn't drive it anywhere, but it started and idled for a bit (I think I really pissed off the spiders that moved into the engine and exhaust...)

Now all I need is some pain medication, a message and a chiropractor and I should be just fine.....

Happy Monday!

We're still going thru boxes trying to find stuff. It's nice to have the movers do everything, but we'll never have them pack stuff again! What's stated on the outside of the box does not reflect what's in the box...

We've just about found everything, but a few items are MIA..
They're probably there, somewhere...in the sea of boxes and wrapping paper! Get to do it all over when we buy a house, but at least we won't have a 1200 mile trip to deal with!!

It's been a busy day, school, then grandson's first B-ball game today. Wasn't much of a game, 42-8. My grandson had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Doesn't hurt that he's a 6'0" 12 year old 7th grader and the other teams "big guy" was about 5'5". But in all fairness to my gs, he's pretty good.

Dreamride, that is some tough duty you're pullin' there. To have it so hard.

David, if we ever move I swear that I'm going to have movers to do the job, but WE will do the packing, yours isn't the first time I've heard those kinds of stories. Pete, I wouldn't want your schedule. Brian, hope you get to feeling better. Tommy we are going to be around our daughter's In-laws, MIL is kind of hard to take, FIL is a pretty good guy, so yea we do it to appease the kids. Matt, my wife is talking about putting Christmas up this weekend...pretty darned early for me, but since we won't be around for Thanksgiving (our traditional time to put Xmas up)I guess it almost has to be this weekend, or I may not get it put up at all.....hmmmm, now there's a thought!

A wreath is easy and shows spirit. You guys really need a 14" ceramic tree. One bulb lights it up. Put it away in the time it takes you to find the box. Gift cards are quick and easy. You don't even have to wrap them. Just place them in a holiday card. I still have tons of lights, ornaments, and displays but I don't think that they'll be out of the corner of the shed for years to come. Of course, when it comes time to spoil a grandbaby, they'll find a way back into the house. That does not show any promise for the near future.

OMG! You really know my family-in-law. My wife might say the
same thing... a lot of "do we have to?" this time of year.
