Sounds like a good time, David!

Nothing much cooking here today - gloomy, rain on the way, good day to be indoors.

Good Morning CGs!

Did you say KY, Tommy?

Well we did hit the casino last night for a few hours. Was having fun at the roulette table for a while. $5 minimum goes farther than $10 on the weekends, so that's nice. I'm not a high roller, but still a good time. I had to leave when some low-life scummie dudes sat down at the table. Once I'm no longer enjoying myself it's time to leave or else I'm just throwing my money away. We had a bite at the buffet, which the food was good, but not worth $16.99. It wasn't large enough. However, we had a coupon for $25 and some gambling credits so it cost us $5. Not bad. After that I played some slots for about an hour or so with my folks and then we left. Overall my wife lost $20 and I won $30. So can't complain too much. We enjoyed ourselves and it's for entertainment.

Got an appointment at 5:45 to see the dentist and get this tooth fixed. Luckily it's just cosmetic and shouldn't be too much trouble.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I'd love to see him. The crossroads tour is coming to town here with him, Clapton, Buddy Guy, and I think John Mayer (and a bunch of others). The tickets sold out in minutes.

Morning gurus. Supposed to be a nice day here, windy, but temps in the upper 70's. We have a track meet that we get out of school early for, but I have to work it. Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon cleaning my office and putting stuff together that belongs to me, that I have to get out before I turn in my keys. I have a stereo that I have had here for years, I decided to take it home. Took the speakers down and the shelf that I made for them and put them up in my garage at home.

Matt, I never leave a casino with money ahead, I just can never get ahead. Epi, that was probably quite a good time. Most of those "old guys" put on a great show.

LOL. I still have that stuff boxed in my laundry room. Haven't had a need to open it since I retired. Guess it will be a sort of time capsule by the time I look in there again.

Well, 4 days of crap weather will end today and it's supposed to ge nice (normal) again. Monday's wind was a bitch, 45+mph with gusts. Gusts on the ridge peaks hit 126 mph (why I stay off the ski lift when it's windy).

Are you in the casino too much if the bartender has your favorite microbrew sitting on the bar before you sit down?

Did you know that some of the slot machines have proximity sensors that trigger their musical jingles as you walk by?

Or that they played with aroma generators also triggered as you walk by?

Or that the higest percentage of house take (profit) is on roulette and keno? (Play what you want)

Or that they have slot machines in the 7-11s and gas stations in Reno?

BB King's awesome.

Or that I've lost way more than I've won and that I'm positive casinos don't stay in business by giving money away. Or that I can drop a hundred so fast that my seat hasn't even warmed.

One year, I had to put down $18,500 on Form 1040 as additional income cuse the stupid casinos send those little notes to the IRS.
Think that was profit in the long term????

Good Morning Gurus,

I'm late and tired - stayed up 'til 3am working on a Paypal registration for our June 5th Car Show. It still doesn't want to work in Internet Explorer, but works great in Firefox and Google Chrome. I'll have to pull that thread a little harder tonight.

I won a ton of money on the slots yesterday on my DROID. I lost a ton too, but its free!!

I'm digging those boats Tommy. Nice Cabin Cruisers they are!

Have a great afternoon all

Hopefully you got your loss forms from your players card to offset that.

I knew a vegatarian valet that had a bad attitude.
I guess you could call him a valetudinarian.

Good evening gurus. Just got home from my last welding class. Practical final exam. MIG, TIG,Stick, and Oxy/Ac. My students did very well, no F's.
Long Day! Last welding class. School Corp wants me to stay on and teach 2 more sessions this summer. I want to drive my 87 to Coronado, Cal this summer, no time to teach!

I started last Tuesday cleaning out my stuff from my office and wood shop. Amazing what 25 years in one school and 38 years of teaching you acquire. Tonight was my last welding class and I brought home my welding stuff, more stuff!!! 4 helmuts, Oxy/ace eye shields and make-up air unit and my favorite Smith Torch and Gauge set. My wife gonna have a fit when she sees more stuff.
