Good Morning CGs!

Nice day outside! I got a bit accomplished yesterday. Cleaned up the house, cut the grass, worked out. Then we went to the doctor's office. So big news in the matatk house, IT'S A BOY!!!!

Matatk Jr (name TBD) is due around 10/1/10. It's nice that we'll have one of each. Then we had some lunch and I got to come home and work on the car. My cousin came over and gave me a hand, too. Lots of little things to reassemble on the block, sensors, cleaning gasket surfaces, etc. So I spent about 3 hours tinkering before it was time to call it quits. Just have to put the motor mounts and intake manifold on and it'll be ready to drop in. I'm pretty stoked. I took a lot of pictures to add to my thread. It's amazing how many little things you forget after you take it apart....does the long bolt go on the left or the right, is it up or down, etc? I'm still having one of those moments with the sensor that screws into the back of the china wall on the block. It can face 360* on the threads and I can't remember which way. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

Today I have to take Sam to gymastics, the sprinkler guys are coming, I'm gonna work on the car, there's a guy coming to buy a weight rack I sold, and I have a family party at 6 tonight. I've got a packed schedule.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

So, you think your busy now? Congrats on the news. It's better to have the babies while your younger and you still have plenty of strength. Plus you'll can get to sit on your ass a little more when you hit your fifties unless you want to shoot for a big family.

Good Morning Guys

I'm off tot he Chevy Dealer for the Camaro Salebration. It is the 1 year anniversary of the release of the 2010 Camaro and they are putting on a party! Food, Sodas etc. Plus I get to plug my upcoming Car Show on the 5th. It should be fun.

I'm hoping to get to drive the SLP 575 Camaro again today, but it depends on when the crowds thin out and how long I'm willing to stay and play.

Moroso accidentally sent me 1,500 CD ROM Catalogs instead of 200 Oops! I started handing them out last night at the local cruise-in. Maybe by this time next year I will have given them all out. If any of you guys need some for shows that are coming up let me know and I'll ship you some.

Last year they donated a SM block Chevy oil pan. This year they sent a nice set of valve covers. I haven't opened them up yet to check out what kind, but they are not center bolts.

Anyhoo... have a good day and I'll be back later

Outstanding news, Matt - congrats!!

I slept in royally this morning - looks like a beautiful day out there. At least it will make the chores pleasant.

I haven't been playing piano much at all lately, but I got the whim to record something last night. So I reworked something I wrote about 6 years ago or thereabouts, called "One Last Ride":

I had to get up early needed to be at work by 6am. Looks like a nice day in the FT Wayne area.

Congrats Matt on the new one on the way. With two you are now officialy a parent. (If confused watch or listen to Bill Cosby "himself"). I agree with Tommy on the think your busy now.

This time next week I'll be home packing to move the wife out here with me. Can't wait. It'll be nice to have her around full time again. With some luck the house will sell quickly and we get to get into a new one.

Congrats, Matthew!

I have a sorority luncheon today. Andy's off to the Automobile Driving Museum, and my mom is off to JPL's open house. I guess Gabbycat will have to entertain herself today!

Congrats, Matthew! That's GREAT!

10/1 is the birthday of a lurking Guru, TravisMC. If the little guy can hold on 8 days, he gets my birthday!

Such great news!

Congrats Matt! I've been a busy boy today. Cleaned out my computer room. Part of the room will become the grandsons Xbox game room. Set up a TV and there are a couple chairs. I trashed a bunch of old computer parts today and a couple of old computers. That's OK I got a 'new' laptop in the mail yesterday sans HDD, but I've got one ordered, thanks Bill!

Thanks everyone. We're all pretty excited around here.

Got some tinkering done on the motor and it's ready to be dropped back in. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week. I dunno. We'll see what happens. I took a few pics and I'll make a thread later.
