Good Morning CGs!

Well it's rain and more rain today. What a way to start a work week, huh? It was beautiful on Sunday, so at least that was an enjoyable day.

I've got a little cold or something going on. My sinuses have been pretty stuffed up and yesterday I was sluggish all day. I could have laid on the couch for the entire day and done nothing, but there's no chance of that around my house I slept well last night, though, so I do feel a bit better other than the sinuses.

Sprinklers were done on Saturday. Everything seems to be working well and the wife is happy. I guess that's the most important part....right?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning guys and gals.
I just saw the date and realized it is 20 years ago today I bought my home. Also my sister's birthday.
My boss returns from his vacation today, so I am sure my day in the office will be a nightmare. We call him the nano-manager. Micro-manager is too weak of a term to describe this guy. I will be scarce the rest of the week. Tues through sunday I am going to Houston, Louisiana, then 2 stops in Florida before returning home.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Greetings! Get better, Matt! And good to see you, Rich - they seem to have that joint replacement thing down to a science nowadays.

Fantastic weather here, 70's and sunny all weekend, and it's supposed to last for at least a week. I dropped a 50 lb. boulder on my toe yesterday, so I am moving around kinda like Chester on 'Gunsmoke' today. My toe is a lovely shade of purple - the rock won.

Have a good one!

Good Day All,

What a weekend! I'm red-faced again from too much sun and too many auto related events! Is that possible? Saturday I attended the Chevy Dealer's Camaro Salebration wich was in honor of the new Camaro's release last year and to promote a sale on new Camaros. SLP was present with a number of thier modified Camaros. ZL575 (supercharged version) ZL454 (normally aspirated) Both cars were very nice and I think they sold a couple on top of that. There was a new Camaro Pace car there and a lot of nice classics as well. The Maryland Camaro Club was there showing thier incredible machines.

Yesterday, I went smoozing and promoting my upcoming Car Show at the Corvette Annapolis Spring Car Show. There were a ton oc nice vehicles. Most notable was the 96 Corvette owned by FC_Soldier from Corvette Forum. He has been running a thread for a few months about his LS2 swap into his C4. I saw the car in person and it couldn't be a better done job. I don't know if I could ever mimic the effort, fab skills, and determination to make that work. It was really cool. I'd love to have one of those LS2s sitting in my C4!!!

Additionally, I have been driving around in a 2001 C5 all weekend, as the dealership got it in on trade last week and wanted me to check it out for them. It is an automatic coupe, so I guess that is half the issue, but no way would I trade my C4 for this car (oh yeah mine is an automatic coupe too.) I absolutely do not like the feel of the seating and I don't know if its because the seat has 87,000 miles on it or what, but I kept feeling like I was sliding off to the left outside of the seat. I have driven many C6 but this is really the first time I have driven a C5 for an extended period over a couple days. I put a couple hundred miles on it and although it drives nice and smooth and has good throttle response, and looks good; its just missing something. I will take it back to the dealership today with a laundry list of things they need to look at before selling it.

Cheers - Have a nice day

Take something for the sinuses Matt. Breathing can be fun. Glad you stopped in crash and gave us an update. One day PeteK might call me or PM me when he's ready to hook up for breakfast, lunch or dinner when he's in South Florida. Don, wasn't FC_Soldier out in the southwest states? Maybe I'm confused. Ron and Tom, keep doing what your doing.

Mrs T-Bone volunteers her and her crews time and effort to a local county owned park (as well as other places). While taking down a fence the other day she met an orchid grower that had come to town for The Redland Fruit and Spice Park International Orchid Festival. The director of the park, her and the orchid grower chatted a little and she eyeballed an orchid he had brought to enter in the orchid competition. My wife purchased a smaller version of the plant from him on the spot and put dibs on the plant he brought for judging and set a price then and there. He gave her a very good price, sort of a reward for her efforts as a volunteer. Turns out the plant won First Place at the show. The vendor had people trying to buy that plant all weekend but he had committed to my wife. So he just told the prospects, no, that's sold. We went to pick the plant up at the end of the show last night. A woman was hovering all the to the end of the show just to make sure she picked it up. The lady would have bought it had we not shown up. We have a few orchids now but looks like a new collection has been spawned at the T-Bone household. If anybody knows anything about collector orchids .... They don't come cheap.
Well at least she finds fun stuff to collect. The top one is the new one.

Tommy - The orchids are awesome! They don't do too well up here except in the botanical gardens in DC. LOL

fc_Soldier is from Fredericksburg, Virginia -- Battlefield Corvette Club I believe. I think they are coming to my show in three weeks. I didn't have my camera yesterday or I would have taken some shots to share.

Morning gurus...Man everyone is busy. Matt, I'd bet those are allergies. Crash, they get you around very quickly after those replacements any more. Don, that is one thing I really miss about my 94, the seats in the 01 just aren't as comfortable, but overall, I'm glad I moved to the C5. Tommy those orchids are beautiful, doubt they'd grow here in the high plains though. Pete, I'm not sure how you do it. I don't think that I could travel like that. Ron you are right, the seniors are finished....only 3 more days for them and 8 for everyone else.

Weather is acceptable today, mostly cloudy and highs in the lower 70's. Mens night tonight, so I'll go out and have a good time golfing.

If I ever get a Z06, the first thing I'll do is replace the seats.

If I ever get a Z06, I'll definately keep the C4.

G'day everyone,

Early evening now and the weather has been great and forecast for more good stuff to come. So went shopping for some garage parts this morning and finished up sitting and drinking coffee and chatting all afternoon in a beach café - nice day.

Good morning, Gurus!

I hate allergies. For the last year., I've been taking a Claritin every day instead of just when I'm having issues, and it's been great.

Safe travels to PeteK!

Tommy - the orchids are beautiful!

I've got a mellow week with lots of desk work and phone meetings instead of being on site anywhere else.

Happy Monday!

1) Tommy in his best Arnold voice:

"I just got back from the gym where I worked out my
majuscules"

2) When you want to learn about maju, you go to majuscule.
