Good Morning Guru's Finally a beautiful day high near 80 low humidity after another storm last night.
Nothing planned today! No honey do list, no daughter projects, vette runs good since I hit IAC with a mallet. Lifes Good. Sorry about yesterdays rant guys! Some times people just piss me off!
Thinking about heading to Auburn Indiana to check out the cars. Its north of Fort Wayne and east of South Bend. Or maybe not!

About to head out to the garage to finish up a trans. Buddy is building a 500 hp LS1 combo for his pick up truck, and asked be to freshen it, and beef it up. With all of the travel I do, it now takes me about a month of weekends to get anything done.
After that, (weather permitting), I plan to do some datalogs for the new 406.

Actually had a couple of rain drops hit the ground yesterday, first in 2 months.

Today, they're calling for dry thunderstorms, hopefully no firestarters.

Back to the shop, the wire wheel and the wonderful smell of rust in the air.

Nothing here for me today. Yesterday, I let the Corvette down and clay barred it and waxed it, again. We had some rain off and on all day, but it was reasonably cool. Today is supposed to be similar. I hauled a bunch of stuff to storage shed.

This morning the wife is fixing a big breakfast, it smells good. I'm sitting here watching "The PowerBlock" and checking out the internet.

Keepin busy, looking forward to a couple days off. I got a new chip from Mick the other night but haven't had a chance to install it and get some datalogs done. I hope to get some work done on the house in the next couple days.

Time for a barley pop or two - just finished mowing the lawn and a couple of other miscellaneous chores.

In between mowing stints, I conditioned the seats on the Vette. When I was at the BHCC, they had a detailing seminar put on by C-Magic (I don't know if their stuff is any better than anyone else's, but the Corvette Museum uses it). Anyway, the guy said that to properly condition the leather on your seats, you should have the car sitting out in the hot sun and let the pores open up. Then work the conditioner in with your fingers and let it sit for a while. If it all soaks in, repeat the process until it no longer does so - he said most cars will require 2-5 times. It took me 3, so he was right. Anyway, they're as conditioned as reclaimed yak skin, or whatever cheapo leather they use on these things, can be.

The wife wants to start going through everything and getting rid of stuff we don't use or need. If I start now we should be just about done by the time Andy and Tamiza come back to Florida for the races in Sebring next year. Put a contract in on the house across the street. I am mainly intersted in the nice big two car garage. We'll see how that pans out. My wife talked me into getting a manicure and pedicure today. First time ever. They scraped dead skin off my feet that has been there since my days in basic training. (1974) Actually felt pretty good. I sat in a massage chair while the lady did it. Makes me feel like going out and getting my hair done too.

I actually did it so I could increase the nerve impulses to my feet. This will translate to better pedal control and aid in decreasing my current times at the autocross.

Today was just a blah day... felt pretty depressed.. worked on the website... stayed home most of the day, did a couple small projects one of them was working on my R/C boat that's been in the box in the basement for several + years now.. went to help my mom's friend this evening, and went scrap collecting with my nephew as there was some heavy rain and flooding in their area, and there was alot of scrap metal. though there were alot of guys picking so.. the variety was kinda sparce.. did pick up an old grill, some bed frames, and shelves.. and found my nephew a half way decent project bike someone tossed...
