Hot Rod needs to cut up a Kia with the urban rodents in it!or the Smart Car.

I like Hotrod magazine a lot. It and Popular Hotrodding. Car Craft is cool too.

Tell the editor they'll get part of the Corvette magazine crowd locked in with more Corvette articles and How Tos, since the Corvette magazine selection is rather pitiful.

I voiced my opinion in the other thread and on their YouTube page, it's all there.

I recall they or someone else did something similar to an import, a Sentra or something, and everyone loved it.

So it's either bad taste both ways, or it's not... There can't be a double standard.

I listened to both segments in its entirety. It's actually what I might have expected from HotRod Magazine. What better way to stoke the fire then go add more fuel? I am one who will do the follow ups. I don't even have to work too hard at it. I already get the mag. Time will tell.

What bothered me most about the video was how they took the car apart, jumping on the parts,cutting the windshield with a sawzall, smashing the dash with a hammer,breaking the doors off,come on what a bunch of no class hacks

I thought it was a good interview and he answered the questions well. His comment about the corvette vs mustang forums and if they had done it to a 5 liter was spot on.

Looking forward to seeing it caged and raced.

After reading the Corvette hack story I cancelled my subscription. Don't bother sending me special offers begging for a renewal as that is not going to happen.
Cutting apart a car with a sawzall is NOT Hot Rodding. Pulling the EFI off in favor of a carb because you guys have the skill level of a mildly retarded gorilla is also disgusting. Reducing the vehicles weight and documenting the performance improvements is not a bad idea. Your execution of that idea which included a sawzall is not worth reading. There's plenty of amature nonsense on the internet I can read for free. You also managed to waste an entire page of the magazine writing about how strong the reaction was to this nonsense.

This was my letter to them.

I was always wondering, What's the point? It's a common fact that if you reduce the weight of a vehicle it will perform better. Is it that hard to come up with story lines.

it's called the "power to weight ratio." And you will be shocked as to the number of ppl who have no clue what it means.

This is also the same group that has never heard of Colin Chapman.
