Good Morning CGs!

Feeling pretty good this morning, but didn't want to get out of bed

Did 4 solid miles last night with some pickups at the end (start out jogging and go faster til you're sprinting). Wow was that a good workout. I actually felt pretty strong at the end of the 4 miles, so that's a good sign I can increase my mileage a bit. I think Friday I'm supposed to do 6-7. I'll do my best.

Tonight we're hitting the casino in IN for a little gambling and dinner. Wish us luck.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Today I'm gonna try to tackle the housekeeping. Haven't really done anything productive for the past week. Catching up on my sleep is about all I've accomplished. Try to get back into my routine. Plenty of jobs await me. Where the hell did I put my motivation?

Greetings! I got to try my new tires out in the rain last night - it poured on the way home from golf. I was very pleased with them. Less so with the weather and my round of golf.

Good luck at the tables, Matt!

I have been out of the loop for a while here again. I get so tied up with things I can't slow down to do the things I enjoy.

One of my friends that went to the races in Mid-Ohio had a car accident Monday morning on his way back home. We don't know how the car is yet, but he was released from the hospital yesterday. He was a part of a series of misfortunate events and got caught in the middle of it.

linked here is the newspaper account of the accident.

His car is a 2009 Z06 -- He is staying in the Pittsburgh area today to see what damages occurred. He has no idea to what happened or what damages the car had as he was air lifted to a hospital there in Pittsburgh.

Good morning guys....I'm up and ready to head out to the mountains today....in about 10 minutes. Don, that sucks about your friend. He has the same last name as me...I doubt we are related...at least not very close. Hope he finds good news about his car. Brad, glad the tires impressed, my game wasn't too good either this past Monday. Tommy, sounds as though you are feeling better, that's good, but don't over-do. Matt, spend a buck for me!

Well. I don't know what the internet is going to be like where we are going, so I'll check in when I can. Have a great day.

Good Morning! Another hot steamy day. Heading to school this morning, short meeting and back home. Waiting for humidty to drop before I spray my truck. Like Tommy motivation seems to be lacking this morning. Need to refill tanks from yesterdays scuba adventure and propane tanks for the grill.
Two more tree branches to cut down from last weeks storm.
Geeze I'm tired all ready, time for a nap.

I biked to work for the first time in eons yesterday. Going to do that as much as I can except for days that I have to drive to job sites like today.

Vette tires are bald again! These BFGs only lasted about 6,000 miles, and they weren't even soft. What a scam. I think someone is stealing my car in the night and doing burnouts with it.

This morning on the radio they were telling an old story about how Chi Chi Rodriguez' car had been stolen. The police told him that it was unlikely he'd get it back, as the thieves had probably already taken it across the border. He said, "Effin' Canadians!"

Returned from a brief meeting at school. Damn if I didn't fall asleep, didn't snore just nodded off. Student teachers and newbes are nervous and want to talk to me about their concerns regarding student behavior. I'm a mentor teacher for the newbes. I had a Q&A session with them along with two other mentors. Went well! Most think they know it all! time will change that! Most drive Toyotas and Hondas, the guys had fish like handshakes, soft hands and no scars on their face, none had watches on(cell phone generation), all the women had manicured fingernails as well as two of the guys. First impressions mean a lot to me. At this stage in my career I can tell who will make it and who won't. I have my work cut out with this group!
