Good Morning CGs!

Man it's a cold one here today. High of 11. Last night was pretty bad, too, with the high gusts of wind it was killer. This is the part of winter I despise. Ugh.

Got a chance to pick up the second table last night at Ikea. Didn't get to put it together yet, but maybe tonight. They are nice, I'll post a link later. Just add it to my list...lol.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Gggggrreeeeetttiiinngggss! How cold is it? They've pulled the Salvation Army bell-ringers in. If we had iguanas, they'd be falling out of the trees and shattering on the ground. I did get over to my MIL's yesterday to pick up some home-made turkey soup and said hello to the Vette, just to remind myself that someday spring will be here.

Stay warm, Gurus!

Good Morning Gurus!

We finally got a spot of the white stuff this morning. Not much, but a few flakes fell this morning just giving a few patches of white here and there. Enough to mess with the morning commute, but then here in DC people drive like idiots 24/7. Rain even will cause mass pile-ups and slow-downs. Freakin' Idiots they are!!

I'm working at home today. I'm doing audio voice overs for one of our training courses. I have slowly built a nice little budget home recording studio so I can do this part of my job here where it is quiet during the day. I really want to build a nice sound booth like I have at work, but my improvised studio does pretty good. At least good enough for Govt. Work!

Anyone have experience with PC Tablets? My wife wants one. I was going to get her an i-Pad but she is afraid it won't handle some of the Windows based applications that she might have a need for work. I dunno. She wants to use it for work and pleasure so she needs the MS Office suite and maybe a couple other Window based apps. Any suggestion?

Stay warm! I know you guys out there in the Mid-West are getting hammered.

Cold dreary and it's Monday. I'd prefer warm, sunny and Saturday but no such luck. Got some selling to do this week, it slows down as we get closer to Christmas and then its over until after New Years. I'm just glad we don't have 3 ft of snow, like Brad does. Have a good day Guru's!

That's "anywhere USA", Don.
It's a shame that they can't hear you when you're screaming at em thru the windshield.

Tom (Teebee) just got an I-Pad, IIRC.

Good morning guru's We got blasted last night with snow.
Schools are closed today. 18-24" of lake effect snows driven by 38 mph winds, wind chills -32. County roads drift shut as fast as they can plow them. Need to plow out this morning. Love it!
Friday I got some test results back! I've been feeling like crap lately. Apparently Agent Orange I was exposed to in Vietnam is showing its symptoms. Others in my team have had the same problems. My daughters lab she works for did the blood work and tissue samples. Guess who did the test results? Erin is having real problems with this. Hah better living through chemistry.
Well guys I have some serious snow to move. Catch ya later!

Morning gurus.....Alright, the Christmas season has officially hit the kids....they don't want to do a dam* thing. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

Yes Don, I just got an Ipad a week ago, they are a neat little toy. I haven't downloaded any business apps yet, but they claim they will open any Office Documents 9ie Word, Excel, PP) I'm not sure what other programs your wife wants to run, but there is probably an app for that. They are pretty neat. Don, if you have specific questions let me know. email bachmant at usd215 dot pld dot com

Ron, I hope that you get to feeling better.

Weather here is pretty normal, 50's for highs, no wind right now. GS has a b-ball game here tonight, so my evening is full. We have a high school game here tomorrow, so tomorrow evening is full.

I hope you guys have a great day.

Expecting a repeat of last weeks cold but will be colder the next few days. Not good for the plants. Really gusty winds right now.
Yesterday ended up with way more excitement than I care to go through. It involved a suicide attempt, drugs, a gun and verbal confrontations. The individual involved is now enjoying the company of trained professionals and staff at a local mental health facility. Thanks to the Baker Act we know he gets a reprive for at least 72 hours. I hate f@ckin drama.
On a positive note, my wife closed on the 1+ acre property today. What we leased is now ours. 10 years to the day since we bought the first acre for the plant nursery. We also placed a bid on a neighboring property with a 3300 sq ft. home and two car garage. This one will need a little divine intervention but it has possibilities. We'll see how the counter offers go. This one will land us into throws of finance. You only live once. Have to take some chances.

Sounds like the perfect place for me to stay rent free when I come visit

Got home late from work and I can't believe it's bedtime already. Ugh.
