Happend Friday night.... we were on our way to eat dinner.

As I was turning into the parking lot a young girl (16yrs old) in moms Volvo is sitting at the stop sign and all of a sudden pulls out of the parking lot hitting me right in the drivers side.

Spun my Avalanche around, caved the rear drives side door in, tore the drivers side running board off and chewed up the sidewall on the drivers side rear tire. The front end of the Volvo was pretty much screwed. Hood buckled, drivers side head light busted, bumper cover torn off....

Thankfully no one was injured. My GF and her daughter were in the truck with me and other driver had a friend with her. A few stiff necks yesteday but everybody is OK.

I already started the claim process and will be dealing with the insurance adjuster on Tuesday.

My truck is still driveable but it dosen't drive right and I'm worried about the tire. As far as fixing it all I'm really worried about the replacement plastics matching. Everybody knows the plastic body cladding is junk on these trucks and fades... I guess I'll deal with it when we come to it.

Hope your weekends were better than mine.
Will

Thank God everybody was alright. Good thing for her she was in a Volvo. (only kidding). Stuff like that sucks but that's why we have insurance. That's one sure way to ruin your dinner plans. Hope you get everything worked out. Once they're hit it's never the same. You already knew all the previous defects. Now, every time you wash it you'll see little reminders. Most of us have been there before. Most of us will be there again. Seriously, as long as nobody's hurt, everything else can be repaired or replaced.

Sorry to hear that, Will. But everyone is ok that's the most important thing. Cars can be fixed a lot easier than people.

I disagree. She should be punished for her display of poor driving. Drive over her foot and call it even.

Not to worry. After we got done with the police, we went to dinner. Since I was already halfway in the parking lot - no reason not to just get a bite.

I think her dad is going to have some kind of reprimand for her display of driving skill. Pops was not a happy camper when he arrived at the accident scene.
