Our bird Harry woke me up this morning at 7:00 sharp. Not that that is uncommon. He starts screeching every morning around thet time. I wonder of my wife would believe he got got up in some bird toy rope if I constructed a little bird noose. Woke up thinking about the Enterprise/Alamo debacle. Pissed me off first thing in the morning. Apparrently we have car rental insurance through our Capital One Visa. Looks like I'll give them the credit card info and let them run with it. Let the corporate giants play their silly little games. What grinds my ass is the time I would have to waste in contesting all that b.s.. The charges are $432 or something close to that. If I'd have to spend a lot of time on it, it hardly seems worth it. I'm sure they're banking on that.

Oh ya! HAPPY EASTER!

We went out to a local sports bar last night. A friend of my wifes met us there. There was a pretty good band playing and the they're are friends of my wifes friend. (You got that?) They played some classic rock and tunes of the late 60's through the 70's. Classic rock, soon to be known as geriatric rock. Most of the crowd was around my age and older. Going out for a brunch later today at the friends house and will meet some members of the band. They're called Mr Nice Guy. Local band that plays in the Keys, a couple of local clubs and at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. I got a lot done on the 928 yearterday but still have a long way to go. Alrighty then! You guys have a nice day and don't eat too much candy.

Good EASTER morning to the Gurus...I'm up and around and going to church here shortly, the wife went last night for the Easter vigil. It's a long service, so I decided to wait and go this morning.

Those places are fun to go to Tommy. There are a few bands around that still play the old and classic R&R. Problem is, the guys playing are getting up there in age too. My wife is fixing a big breakfast after I get home from church.

Tommy I'd wait and see what CapOne ends up doing. It's a scam that the car rental places do.

I hope everyone has a great day.

I had birds screaming last night. Both were out of their cages. I went into another room for about one minute, they both got off the cages and went downstairs. Got into a fight started as usual by the little one. My macaw doesn't take the "in your face" crap. The little one had blood all over his chest and was freeked out...totally. It's his own damn fault.
Looks like he's OK this morning. Just another day at the zoo.

Good Morning CGs!

Had a great day yesterday. Morning routine was gymnastics with rugrat #1, then I came come and helped the neighbor put up his new gazebo. In the afternoon I got in a killer chest/tri workout and set another PR on the bench. Felt good. After that, took out the vette and the wife and I went to dinner with BIL, his gf, cousin, and his gf. Ate so much sushi I was ready to burst! Came home and cut the front grass just as it was getting dark.

Today I am at the outlaws early for traditional Polish breakfast. After that I have to run home and do the front pads on the xterra, then off to aunt's house for Easter lunch. Should be a full day.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Easter Guru's! Bill that's kinda wild with the big bird fights and all. I don't suppose having a big male cat would help keep them in line.......probably not!

Tommy if you are like me there is just so much emotional energy that I have each day and I don't want to burn it up on stupid stuff like the car rental deal. Unless they really piss me off then I am in their face hard. Screw it let your insurance folks figure it out. I will do a better job of checking any vehicle we rent in the future though.

Got Church in a little while then home to eat a ham dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and all the trimmings. Ultrawoman has been up early getting it ready. Ultraman gets to clean it all up after we are done. It's all good!

Have a good day guys, I think I will drive the Vette to church the weather looks ok.

Imissed a page as usual Tommy...We just had an issue on that last trip down to Marco Island. The van we rented quit and we ended without wheels for 2days on a 3 day getaway. Enterprise...but since I did it through Orbits, they refused to do anything. Orbitz, Never Again!

Woke up to some actual sunshine here in the Philly area. Hurry up Father, Clear weather is burning off And I may need the Vette ride more than church today(with that statement, you'll note I believe in a very forgiving God!) He'll get me later I always say as I cross myself.

Traditional Polish Easter Brunch Matt? Man I hope you got Pierogies Good Friday. A yearly treat for me, but missed it this year. No appatite. We're having the traditional Ham, potatoes, green beans thing today though....Happy Easter!

Alan - I learned, too, that when I book stuff now I won't use those goofy internet sites. I go directly through the airline/company/hotel, etc.

Breakfast was a soup called zurek, along with various scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, a few sausages and hams, and some other polish spreads. It was good. Much better than the traditional Christmas dinner with carp (blah).

This is zurek:

Family is going to church and I'm heading home to do brake pads. I think that's a good trade off for me After that it's more family time.

Happy Easter, yawlz! The sun is shining, nice change of pace. We're heading out for brunch with the family later, so no cooking of dishes to do. I'll probably get in some yardwork when we come home.

Tommy, you'll have to ask your new friends if their very last song will be "No More Mr. Nice Guy" ;-)

Have a great Easter, everyone!

Its a good day! I'm breathing!

Happy Easter All! Working on the car and discovering all the little things I need to pick up yet. Some new hoses and another connector, and I have some broken and cracked vacuum lines too.

Bill - lived with over 300 birds for over 10 years when I lived in South Carolina. Our (house pets) included two Macaws (Scarlet and Catalina), one Moluccan Cockatoo, two Amazons, and a Sun Conure that I decided to keep rather than sell. In the sun-room I had approximately 200 canaries, and finches of many different species, and outdoors in a 12X20 pole barn I had several pairs of Amazons, Conures, and Lories. I also owned an Exotic Bird Store in the downtown area of our town that was a hoot to hang out in. I love birds but I got burned out and sold them all before moving back to Maryland in 2004. The loudest screamer was "Georgia" the Moluccan Cockatoo, he was sold to a deaf man in Augusta, Georgea. They were a match made in heaven!! LOL

Peeps!

Got my Peeps fix again! I always get two packages. One to leave set on the shelf until they turn hard and brittle.
Then we use 'em as targets at 100 yards.

Will not be visiting the kids and Grandson this weekend as the stress has both of us down. Need a weekend to regenerate.

Maybe go see "Rio 3D" at the matinee.

hm... How can the likes of Enterprise not support their rentals just because you reserved via Orbitz? Is this part of the deal that the discount includes no customer service?

I guess it's good we always reserve through Southwest Airlines!

Strange thing last week. Went to the Long Beach GP (need to process pictures!). I left my clear lens glasses in their case in the car. Came back and went to put them on and the anti-scratch coating had CURDLED! Turned into striations that looked much like fingerprints.

Very odd. Took them back the eyeglass shop on Tuesday. Should have an answer next week. Currently using my old glasses... not bad, but a bit fuzzy... and swapping to the sunglasses is a bit annoying. Newer stronger script!

Happy Easter, all!

I was out in Colorado some years back - it was a very hot sunny day, and I left my regular glasses in the car in a little eyeglasses compartment up by the rear-view mirror. When I went to change out of my sunglasses later, I discovered that my glasses were ruined - they had cracks and distortions all through them. I've never stored anything but air in that compartment since.

Had a really nice brunch today with the same friends
we had dinner with last night. Joining us was the
lead singer of he band and his girlfriend, an
alligator handler with a 4' alligator, a former horse farmer/retired papermill worker
an entepreneur, librarian, bromiliad nursery owners and others. I really didn't know anybody there but I knew
them all before we left. The gator was swimming around the pool as we chatted on the back patio. I can't
ever say my life is boring.

She was what? 13? 14? Did her dad use the shotgun or the AK47?
