Why don't we all quit our jobs (those of you who still work) and show up somewhere in S. Florida....We'll call it "The Guru Nationals" or something like that and take Guru car show pics under the Palm Trees. I'm this close to remortgaging the house for the fuel bill and 1 nice cold beer, just 1! 'cause I'm probably not allowed to have that either.......

Ef Effingham .... Las Vegas. Airfare and rooms are cheap, palm trees, pretty women, free drinks when gambling, shows, buffets, Bring pics of the cars and talk crap about racing then fly back to where you came from.

OK, here's what I'll do;
After I win the lottery (next couple of months, I'm sure). AND after I get my 2 new ZR1's. I hire Intercity to ship everyone's Corvette out here in Sept. for the Inaugural Guru-Fest. Day one: Corvette Tour of Lake Tahoe with lunch at 9,000 feet (by cable car) or lunch on Tahoe (paddle wheeler "Tahoe Queen"). Day two: Reno Air Races Day three: 1/2 day at the Northern Nevada Kart Club race track beating the snot out of my 125 shifterkart. 1/2 day Corvette tour of |Virginia City (like Bonanza). Day four: Reno-Fernley Raceway, 4.5 miles long, legally redline your Vette in 5th & 6th. About midday - shut down the road course and open up the dragstrip. And inbetween, Concerts, shows, gambling and a whole lot of partying. |

Just come here...we got flatlands or hills, up to you and they are all in one location, just drive one mile this way or that... we have lakes and streams and can keep beer cold as well, and the weather changes daily,sometimes you can even catch all four seasons in a week

OK. We'll all meet up in SoFlo, run down Card Sound Road at high speed, spend a day or two in the Monroe County Jail, then have breakfast and call it a day. I also know a great stretch to run head to head till the cops show up. We can take a tour of a packing house, go to the beach and later eat Mexican food till we explode. Here, have a burrito

Well, if we're offering, we can all meet in SW Kansas....it's hot, it's dry, it's flat, we have lots of feed yards, long straight roads and I can keep the beer cool. But it is centrally located. Probably not....
But anyone going through here is more than welcome to stop for a visit. |
