Rainy start to the day. Looks to be passing showers. Only one major task on the docket for today. The rest is just filler. Lots of hanging around and reading is on the agenda. Surgery is set for around noon. The medical centers office has a surgical unit so we don't have to go to the big hospital. I guess it's a better way for them to keep the profits in house. It's a smooth proceedure with a qualified team of experts. She has to be put under and that's always a risk. Small risk but a risk none the less. I'll let you know how it goes this evening. Have a good day gang. Check something off the list today.

Good Morning CGs!

Tommy, good luck with the whiff. Hope it all goes smoothly.

I'm off to do some more manual labor. I unfortunately know that I won't get as much done as I would like to today, but that's life. Still made a dent in the projects. I'll be back on the road home tonight. My goal is to leave MI by 4 pm so I can get home at a decent hour. I'm already tired and I just woke up...haha.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Gurus

I'm back from HD already with my 20 bags of mulch. Now I got to unload them and store 'em away so I don't have to do any gardening until the Corvette has started!!!

I'm very close to ignition! I'm waiting for Mick to get back to me this morning in regards to some things he wants me to keep an eye on during the initial start up. He wants me to hook up Datamaster and do a scan during the initial firing of the engine, so he can see how things are looking.

Oh well... I better get that mulch unloaded and start working on the car. I'm taking a day of leave, might as well make it worth my while.

So sorry to hear about your mother-in-law, Rich. Mojo for your Mrs., Tommy.

The monsoon hasn't started yet, but it sounds like we're in for 4 days of rain. I managed to get the lawn mowed last night so hopefully it won't be a foot high when things dry out. Gonna try to putz with the Vette a bit while it is in the garage.

Enjoy your Friday, Gurus!

Morning guys big rain last night. My wifes last day at school today for awhile, no kids there though. Rich sorry to hear about your loss. Hope Rosie will be able to work through it.

You know I could use a day at the beach......if we only had a beach around here. Tommy, prayers going your way today!

Don, don't get in a rush and forget something. That's what I tend to do when I can't wait to hear it run.

Office work today and some goofing off. I will work on the 90's interior today. Oh yeah and I gotta take out the garbage.

Good advice Tommy, I'm going to mark something off the list today. Be nice everybody!

Beautiful weather here today, the only thing on the agenda is to wash the 92. I'll lay back today and save some energy.

Tomorrow - hit the track , I even have 2 tech inspectors coming to help me.

Sunday - hit the track again, evaluate new instructors. And we're putting on our first ever Rallycross. Our club built a "loaner" car so I may take a run.

Ultraman I can answer your question from yesterday now. Changed the shocks on the C6 last night and finally it feels like a Corvette. No more wallowing rear end.

It's a great car, stable, smooth power, comfortable. However...everything else about it sucks.

It's absolutely ridiculous how annoying the electronic gadgets are on this thing. Electronic door openers? Tire pressure low disables the car? You kill the battery if you don't leave it in reverse? Seriously? I think it's worse that the poorly done "technology" on the C4 (like the passive keyless). Really really annoying. I can't wait to rip all of that out and take 400 lbs of crap out of her.

Take it to the track in it's current form and see how much the electronics screw up your lap times.

Good morning guys....it's a beautiful Friday, already two classes down and gone. I worked the first hour bunch pretty hard, The shop is just about clean. I've cleaned a closet out and now have twice as much room in there.

So sorry about your MIL Rich, I know how my Rosie would be if that happened to her mom (and could at any time as she is in her 80's). Waiting to hear good news Tommy. Don, we want to hear that beast running. The newer the cars get the more 'nannys' they have acquired. Bill, get that car washed and pictures taken for the car show..... Marcus, from the sounds of things, you guys should have a beach right out your front door. We got about 10 inches of rain last night.....one drop here and 10 inches away another drop. Still drier than a pop corn fart.

A couple of pictures of the table I built this week for my daughter...nothing really special, but I like it. 48" x 60". Not finished at all, just assembled

Very nice, Tom.

I've backed off on the Solar Lux, the alcohol dries too quick to easily control the shade of the stain. Probably try some Danish oil next.
I'll be sending you some, when I get around to it.

You are about right TB. We had 3" here but not so far south of us it was 5 to 5.5". I'm thinking corn will be up the limit on Monday. Maybe soybeans also.

Table looks great!

That's the big problem with alcohol based stains and finishes dry in a flash. (pun intended)

All is well. The Dr did the less invasive of the proceedures. She just has to take it easy for today and back to her routine tomorrow. Next ........... BillH, You've had more hits in the past few months than I've had in the past 5 years. Although I did catch a couple of nice ones. I'd be way ahead of the game if I'd just walk away when I get over $65 ahead.

Great news about youe wife.

Yea, I've had good hits, I'm waitin' for it to hit the fan though. I'll probably be back to nickels soon.

At least, after today, the Silverado gets a new set of BFG's.

I'm trying to win enough to get a set of those spiffy chrome wheels like the ones on a certain 91 supercharged Vert.

To walk away with winnings: Keep the money you're going to play in the regular compartment of your wallet. Cash out anything over $40 and put it in another compartment, not to be touched until you leave the casino, it works, sorta.

Glad to hear good news for you, Tommy.... sorry to hear of your MIL Crash, prayers to all.
Started off a beautiful day here, slept in... got up, ran some errands, and then the rain came out of nowhere, and it's still pouring. ruined my day but managed to pick up my new business cards, hit the tanning salon and picked up some seaweed soup, fried rice, sashimi and California roll for dinner.
Hope everyone has a good evening...

Trying to catch up on some threads.

Rich - very sorry to hear about the MIL. I bet Rosie is pretty torn up. Lucky she has you around to offer support.

Tommy - glad the surgery went well.

TB - nice table

Bill - I think the only time you post about the casino are the days you win...but you secretly lose just as much on the other days you "forget" to post about going to the casino...

Marcus - Isn't the saying "Life's a beach"....or something like that
