Good mawnin.
Today is the do nothing day I was thinking about yesterday, Blood work at 08:15. A stop by a card store for a couple of congradulations cards and from there I haven't figured out yet. The only thing I know is it's time for HCF.

Good Morning! Workin' here at the home office again today... Oh that is almost everyday these days. God sent that to me in advance. It would be hard to help Kathie if I was commuting an hour and half each way daily! She is doing much better this morning and she has an appointment with Dr in a little while. I hope that goes well.

I need to get my car back here. Its still at the Chebby dealer since the show last weekend. While it was there I had them install the AC Compressor that Tyler gave me and go over the AC system. So.. for Tyler, it looks like the compressor you sent me works ok. Thanks for saving me a ton of money!!

It still has a shifting problem when I start out in "D" Drive, but if I manually shift through the gears from 1 to 2 to D and then OD, it shifts firm and on command. When I start out in "D" it seems to start out in third and stay in third. I have Mick and Pete thinking this one through for me. Otherwise the engine seems to be working very nice. On Saturday after the car show, the parking lots were empty and I decided to do a little spirited throttle kicks before driving the car back into the shop. It has a ton more torque than before and has no problem breaking those 315s loose at any rolling speed I gave it, in the parking lot.

Good Morning CGs!

Had a rough day yesterday so I didn't even get a chance to get on the site. Started the other night with some super heavy rains. We got 4" rainfall overnight. That knocked out the power at about 1 am. Neighbor called me at 3 and said
"power's out, check your sump pump". So every half hour until 5:30 I was up checking it. Bone dry. Couldn't figure out why but I wasn't complaining since he had a couple inches water in his basement already. We were on our way to Home Depot at 6 am when the whiff called and said power was back on. So that saved me a bundle right then. By the late morning, all the water had finally saturated the ground and the pump has been running nonstop since then. I am really motivated to put in a batter back up pump, now. I have to protect the basement.

Went to work (luckily made it on time) and had a tough day, came home and moved a sprinkler head, checked out the vette and found my serpentine belt was trashed (I'll post on that later) so I changed that. Then I had to get rugrat #2 bathed and ready for bed, and I left for dinner with a couple buddies. Home and in bed at 10:30. Long day

I'll try to catch up on posts tonight.

Don - glad to hear the whiff is doing better.

Matthew

Although these photos prove that my basement needs a good sweeping and cleaning... and I really could neaten up the wires for my pumps and battery backup, this system has been working flawlessly for me since 2009. I picked it up at home depot and purchased some PVC and a junction to pump the water up and into the existing outlet. I don't know if they still sell these kits but it came with the dry battery and I had to add the acid and distilled water solution myself. Of course after installing the system I have not had an emergent condition to use it but have tested it many times by turning off the power and filling up the sump enough to float the switch. Surprisingly, that little yellow pump really pushes a lot of water.

Good morning guys....Last day of the event here. We have some technical seminars this morning and a show and shine this afternoon. We will be headed back tomorrow. We have had a good time. I'm uploading pictures to my photobucket account then I'll post a few of the cars here.

Good to hear that Kathie is doing better, Don. Sump pumps? Mine runs straight out, no need for a sump pump. I've got three floor drains in my basement. Sump pumps scare me, In other houses I've had them not come on for whatever reason and make a "mell of a hess".

I'll check in later.

+1!

And dry basement mojo, Matt!

Hidey-ho! Started off the day with a consult for a root canal. I guess if there is good news, it is that only one of the three teeth they were looking at needs one. So I have that to look forward to. Meanwhile, it is cool, dark and drizzly.

It's a shame this beauty is off the market now:

Don, is the PCM possibly set for a M6 instead of the A4? That is what your symptoms sound like.

I need to run this by Mick, because it is showing a skip shift error code too, and we both knew that there was no skip shift on the A4

Thanks

So, I just finished the wiring for 2 switches and 6 outlets to put up 6 - 4ft dual shop lights.

I had a box full of old switches and receptacles.
Bur over half of them were missing the screws.

That's right, back to Home D, second damn time today.

Good thing the casino's inbetween here and Home D.

Don,
Have you had a chance to inspect the main bulkhead connector (both male and female ends) to verify that no pins are bent or pushed out?
The fact that you have all gears shifting manually suggests all solenoids and internal pan wiring is correct.
All grounds clean, hooked up and tight?
Also, have you had a chance to readjust the shifter cable so the indicator lines back up? If the shifter shaft in the valve body is off slightly (due to incorrect adjustment), it can partially block a fluid passage and restrict fluid flow.

Don -

I was gonna buy the watchdog before, but never got around to it. Now I'm gonna go with a Zoeller. I still need to do a little more research.
