Another sleepless night -- Oh well! I've been up for a while so I may as well get this TGIF of to a head start. As stated I'm thanking God its Friday... which I don't know why because every day since last Friday has been like a Friday to me this week. If anything, I should be getting anxious about my first day at the new job looming closer on Monday. I'm not anxious yet, perhaps on Sunday night I'll get a little more anxiety built up, but for now I'm just waiting. I spent a good part of the afternoon yesterday doing a whole battery of online new hire paperwork, registrations, etc etc. to get my presence established in their HR systems and payroll. So I think it's go. Back to the grind on Monday!!!

What's on the lineup for fun this weekend? I'm praying for decent weather tomorrow but I think we will get more of the same we have had all week, clouds and rain. Not to worry though because we rented a nice stone cabin in one of the states parks to keep us dry if the weather gets too soggy. The only bad thing is that we planned on doing a photo shoot of all the cars and people in our club tomorrow and that could get washed out by too much wet stuff. I will be off in a bit to go buy brats and fixings. Thanks to some of your suggestions from yesterday I have a good idea how I plan to prepare the brats tomorrow. I can't wait!!

Oh also - Lots of buzz in the area about Monday Night's Football game. Washington Redskins vs Dallas Cowboys.. Not too much of the rivalry it once was but still going to be an interesting game that I'm sure will be a big night for the network. What are your favorite teams and are there any good line ups this Sunday?

Ok then... I have rattled on enough... I turn this over to Tommy or Matt - Cheers and have a good day! TGIF

Howdy! I decided to dust off the Vette today, since it is supposed to be a little warmer and dry. Maybe I'll take the afternoon off - I think the Mrs. took the day off, too.

Have a good one!

Morning guys...Good luck with the weather this weekend, Don. I do hope you have a good day. Matt, I know where you are with the kids, just part of the fun..... C2C3C4, that sounds like more fun than I'll be having today.

It's Friday, big game tonight with one of our rival schools, we hopefully will win this one. The two GS's play tomorrow, one an hour and a half drive away and the other 40 minutes away...luckily on the way back home.

Got to go, I'll check in later.

Doing lots of assorted tasks today. One of which is trying to get the manual lock release to work on the deck lid of the 91 vert. I'm gonna soak it down with PB Blaster and hope it releases. I'm open for suggestions. Dont want to break the cable. The switches aren't triggering the release (no current). If I have a chance I'll dig into the FSM but it all comes down to priorities today. Looks to be a busy day already and look how late it is. It's almost 09:00.

Yeehaa! Good morning Guru's its Friday! Don sorry you couldn't sleep sometimes adjusting to the DNBFS takes some reprograming.......if it rains you can have a contest to see who's paint beads the best.

Brad take the whole day off its like a mini tour. TB we also are taking on our arch rivals tonight for homecoming. We have a parade up town today. Hope you guys win. C2,3,4
that's my kind of busy weekend. Matt you make me smile when you talk about your kids....

I am going to hang around the office till noon and then to a mini tour myself then start to get my game face on. The Huskers are at Wyoming this weekend so no home game Saturday. We should win that. Next week is the Big 10 opener against Wisconsin at their house.....it will be tough to win that one I am thinking.

Let's roll Guru's....and hey, hey, let's be careful out there.....

Bill, that's a bit unusual isn't it? for 90's this time of the year for you? We are looking for low 80's today. Nice and cool right now (mid 50's). I've got the boys cleaning the shop today, all but one are football players and dressed up (slacks and ties) for the trip today, so I gave them a break from the heavy work.

Another sleepless night -- Oh well!

Hey Don, ever tried melatonin? I used to have BAD insomnia and tried a number of prescription sleep aids, none of which worked and left me useless the next day (more useless than usual).

Then I gave melatonin a shot. Worked great and no "hangover" feeling the next day. You can pick it up at any local big chain drug store in the vitamins section. I use a 3 mg tablet and it's perfect.

Saw the oncologist yesterday and I STILL have no diagnosis. Based on the information that has been gathered thus far, they can't identify the unique strain of lymphoma that I may have. There just isn't enough solid information. So, they're going to take another somewhat larger biopsy from the bump on my forehead (which has become progressively larger) and try that. If that still doesn't do it, they have to go into my neck and remove one of the lymph nodes that are swollen. That's a surgery I'm definitely not looking forward to. Oh well, gotta' do what I gotta' do.

Needed a mood lifter this morning, so I drove the Vette to work. It's cool and cloudy outside, and it'll probably get rained on, but so what. Only a few weeks of the driving season left, so gotta' enjoy it while we can. Man, I just LOVE driving that thing!

Have a good one Gurus!

Ron

I have those sleep deprived nights often usually triggered by something I should have said or done but didn't. Lately its the run around I'm getting from the VA or the Vietnamese group I encountered in the SanDiego In and Out burger place earlier this week that in their native language told their kids to cut in front of me.
Today I cut grass at home and at the lake, clean up flower beds and trim back some limbs. Later may get some serious fishing time in.

Dropped #1 off at preschool, so she's out of my hair for a bit. Got some errands done and made it to my toy store, Harbor Freight. A few odds and ends there. I've been playing with #2 since then, he got some lunch and he needs a nap but he's fighting it. I need a workout so I hope he falls asleep soon.

Ron - mojo with the diagnosis - I hope it's something that's good and easy!

So, I've been up on the roof since 7:30 with a couple Guru breaks thinkin': Gotta get this done, Gotta get this done.

Then it hit me like a ton of hops , Matthew mentioned sometin' about beer. This roof isn't going anywhere, it'll be cooler tomorrow, a shower & a nap would put me close to beer thirty.

Thanks Matt.
