I'd have to look for a new wife, if I bought another Corvette.

My next Corvette will be a C5 Vert though, I am pretty sure of that. But for the foreseeable future, my LT4 keeps a smile on my face.

Your Silver 87 looks sweet. I chose to have my 84 as my DD.

I have a 94, my Dad has an 03 and previously had an 85 and an 87.

Does that count?

We have a 1985 coupe and a 2003 'vert.

Same basic specs (350 ci, A4) but the cars could not be more different. We love them both.

The '87 is so much more fun to drive then the '98. It just seems to be more of a sportscar. The seats are tight, it's hard to get in and out, you sit lower to the ground and you feel the road. The '98 is like driving a fast Cadillac. The seats are flat, no frame rail to climb over and it cruises nicely down the road. It's a great car but the C4 just has more attitude. Just my .02 cents.

Doug.

I agree, my C4 feels more like a sports car, feel the road, corner better, steering is tighter, my C5 seems real good for distance

I've gone from a C4 (93) to a C5 (01 Z06) and back to a C4 (86). Although the Z06 was a blast to drive with the acceleration of the car, the C4's feel more like a sports car. I hated the seats in the Z06, that I replaced them with Corbeau A4's, which did help make the Z06 feel more like a sports car...but nothing replaces stepping down into a C4. I can't wait to have my C4 running faster than my Z06 was running in the 1/4 mile. That is going to be FUN!!!

I own a 1994 LT1 heads/cam/4.10's, and recently purchased a 2001 LPE Twin Turbo C5. Overall, the C4 feels more like a Hot Rod.

My C4 is a pleasure on road trips, as well as in daily driving. And although I don't own a C5, I've driven them and certainly can't dispute their appeal. And I'd gladly buy a ZO6 or FRC in a heartbeat, or any other C5 that was suitably modded to my tastes. They are real nice cars and very driver-friendly. And their performance, as well as their performance potential, cannot be denied. But given the choice, I'd still rather have a pristine LT4 coupe in addition to my already well modified '95. If I did, I'd mod the LT4, but less for power and more for overall handling and driveability. And then I'd go absolutely ape-shit on the '95, making it a complete beast, with no concerns as to everyday use and practicality!
Yeah, I hope to have an LT4 coupe one of these days. But first I want to finish paying the house off. Then I'll be a pseudo-rich, poor man! :thumbleft:

I am very fortunate to be able to own both a ZR-1 & a Z06. The 2 cars are very different. My Z06 has headers and a Halltech CAI. I can sum up its overall driving experience in a few words. I always feel like the car has just a little more left to give when pushing it hard. Sorta like I'm never in complete control of the cars' capabilities. The ZR-1 feels like I am in control of the car. I think that lends itself to the fact that the seating and driver position is better. Also, the road feel characteristics are that of a more connected feeling.

I love both cars. They each have a huge amount of performance to give for a car used on the street. I'll never be able to outdrive either car. I am just so lucky to be able to have both in my garage.

I agree. I love the C5 (its probably my favorite for looks), but the C4 is just a true blue sports car. I think they are getting a little bit to detached from the road as time goes on. Even the new Z06 feels to refined :-), I hear the new 08s are supposed to be better though.
