Good Morning CGs!

Had a good appointment with the bone cracker yesterday. He hits this spot in the middle of my upper spine that feels awesome when he's done. That's worth the $45 right there...lol. If I could teach my wife to do that we'd be all set....

No progress on the car this week, just driving it. That's why I'm hesitant to pull it apart. When I did the a/c it was down for a month with no driving. I don't want that to happen again. So when I get some real time to work on it, I'll make it a full day or 1/2 day and 1/2 day project.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning! Tough day so far - got to sleep in an extra hour, now I have to get ready to go play golf. Sounds like I may need a chin strap for my hat, though - it's supposed to be pretty windy.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Morning guys....It's going to be cooler today, about 15 degrees. That should make the day more comfortable. Last of the ceiling tiles to go in, some cleaning up. Just as we quit last night the electricians got the lights turned on. I got the shelves in the closets done. Getting close.

Good luck with the golfing today, Brad. Matt I understand about your wanting to drive the car as opposed to working on it.

I wish everyone a great day today.

Been busy here in the Buckeye State lately.

Put 4 new tires on the Impala. Cooper CS-4 T rated. I looked at them at Mid-Ohio and decided they were what I needed. So far, very happy with them.

Went to the Dr. yesterday, I get to go into the hospital Sept. 13 for an overnight stay to blow up the kidney stones. What fun. We are going to laser them.

Going to try to get a couple of races in this weekend, we will see what the weatherman has to say.

Lastly, I looked at a used pickup last night. 1992 1500 SS 454. Black, 60k miles, shortbed, tonneau, 5 speed 4x4, $10,995. Tempting. Going to have to stay away from that lot for a while.

Everyone have a great day !

You only wish it was that simple.

Good morning.
Yesterday I started the day with tense muscles in the neck. Today it is officially a stiff neck. Allergies are flaring and accompanied by a migraine intensity sinus headache. Other muscle groups are in rebellion but in a much lower intensity. Outside of that I feel pretty good. No need to see a doctor. I have what I need here and I have instructed myself to only perform tasks as tolerated. Besides, I saw doctors for 12 years concerning treatment in these same areas. They usually recommend a combination of rest, heat, cold, excersise and a placebo pain reliever. My sinus doctor sticks long Q-tips up my nose, has me sit there uncomfotably for a couple of minutes, sends the sample to the lab for testing, and gives me the latest free sample of nasal flush. So instead I'll stay home, look at these pics and know by staying home I've done the right thing, saving both time and money. I'll spend the money on lotto tickets where I might get some positive results.

Matt isn't that what winter is for...making the big mods on you car....just thinking....Brad a strong south wind always helps my game by keeping my slice hanging up in the air...and not going all the way out of bounds....lol

Much cooler here today but not a drop of rain....it won't be long until the rain makers start showing up around here and the cloud seeding will start...if we can find a cloud...Indians will be brought in to do the rain dance...hey what ever works.....desperate times call for desperate measures...

This is the song we want to be singing...

Yesterday I got in trouble for not starting any trouble. My wife bought a dress on Bradenton Beach from a beach fashion store. She tried it on and started probing me for my opinion. It really wasn't something I cared for but if she liked it that was what was important. I didn't say anything rather than say something negative. I just gave her the it's OK but I'm not crazy about it look. You never tell me how you feel about anything? ..... Here we go ..... You never tell me how you'd like me to keep my hair, long or short. You never tell me that I need to lose a little weight. You never tell me what you would like me to do. So, I get in trouble for saying and I get in trouble for not saying. Since she would like me to to make some suggestions ............ I wonder if she ever feels a little sick in the mornings. .... You know, like morning sickness .......... Just a suggestion .......

Tommy, my wife has been having bad sinus trouble since early July and just started using this spray about a week ago. She likes it a lot and it is working great (she can't tolerate a neti pot):

I just finished my first job of the day. My wife was given two metal outdoor chairs at a job site. The chair backs are shaped a like butterfly. She decided she was going to paint and detail the butterly. Sue asked if I would spray paint the antennae black. Just so happened I have some high heat flat black in a rattle can. I taped and papered the chair and was able to get the desired effect. For the hell of it I decided to count how many places we have to sit around the yard and house inluding yard chairs, folding chairs, sofa, love seats, bar stools and a day bed. I came up with 67 available sitting spots. If 67 people came over, everybody would have a seat. Funny thing is ..... I'm a hermit. I try to keep my visitor counts down to about a dozen at a time max. Mostly just a few at a time. Come Christmas time when we roast the pigs, we'll have no issue seating 67 of our closest friends and family. Did I just mention Christmas? ....... Talk about planning ahead ..... I have to be mentally prepared for the onslaught.

Wife left for the store shortly after I got home and hasn't returned yet. She went to dinner last night with her cousin. I think she's getting burned out and needs some time away from the kids. They were extra naggy today. But I've got them bathed and in bed, so I have a few free minutes.

TB - where are the update pics?

Tommy - go ahead and tell your wife all those things...you hate the dress, hate her hair, and she needs to lose a few lbs...see what happens (and that's when the fight started)

Jeff - good to see you back around to visit!

Bill - did you paint today, too, or just finish scuffing?

No, flipping the frame upsidedown took a lot longer than I expected.
Finding the CG so the lt stayed straight took numerous tries and I took it really slow because I didn;t want it to slip and bend something (like a body mount). Plus it's fairly heavy.

So, I hope to finish the scuff tomorrow. Then just wipe down with prepsol.

I have a new HVLP paint gun on the way probably won't show up until Monday but the weather's been breezy in the morning and is supposed to be better early next week.
The frame's got to sit outside in the sun to cure.

Then all the stuff I painted 2 months ago will need to be reshot with this urathane.

I'll try to get pictures tomorrow, Matt. I worked most of the day and we got almost everything done. Waiting for a window glass to come in and waiting for the floorcovering guys to come back so we can finish trimming the last room (a storage room). They were in such a hurry to get in and start putting stuff in the room I didn't have time to get any pictures today.

Hope to, but I need a bunch of $$$.

The front suspension had the hard sutff done (a-arm bushings) but I ned new, correct coil springs, ball joints, wheel bearings/seals, disc brake shields and have to get some stuff plated. $500

New steel brake & fuel lines - $300

The rear's worse - trailing arm bushings, axle bearings, parking brake parts, u-joints and other stuff $700.

And I have to decide what to do about the rear spring.
I know that rearching the origional won't last long.
Correct repos are $450, C2 leaf springs are strange, the spring ends are bent up at a right angle.

67 places to sit in one yard???
Geez... I have two zero gravity loungers, two chairs with cushions and a love seat thingie with cushion and a mini fridge for the beer. And I have it all to myself all the time. Have a wooden Adirondack chair out front and a porch swing (one out back too, forgot) and have that all to myself.
I think I'm having a mid life crisis. Finally have some jobs in at work but came home and looked around and realized I no longer have any real attachment to anything in here. Would be nice if someone would come over and offer a fair price for crap and haul it off. I have a pile in the kitchen and dining room to be rid of and have already sold a few other smaller things, like some jewelry, a jewelry chest, an antique japanese tea service set, still have one, got some nice china, crystal and lots of other junk that needs to go. Send your wives over with your wallets.....

I have zero chairs in my yard, zero chairs on my decks. In fact I don't own ant outdoor chairs at all.

If I owned an outdoor chair, I'd have to sit it it and that goes against everything I believe in.

Plus the house. The whole property. There are 28 places to sit outside. That all comes from 29 years of keeping stuff.
