Good mornng gang. It's Friday. We made it to the end of another week. It's raining here this morning and is supose to rain through tomorrow. The good thing is that the temps will be mid 40's to high 50's.

Lets all try and have a good day.

Happy Friday! I am amazed at how quickly this week has passed - I was sure it would drag on and on after having a couple of weeks off over the holidays. It is raining here, most unusual for January. The driveway was treacherous, icy as all getout - had to hang onto the garbage can and shuffle along like Tim Conway when I took it out this morning. Should be delightful tomorrow when the bottom falls out of the thermometer.

Have a good day, all!

Good Morning CGs!

Kids are still in bed. Always seem to drag butt when I have to take RR#1 to daycare. Makes getting them washed/dressed/fed in time a real PIA. I am gonna go wake them up and then the whining and fighting will start. The kids will be miserable, too

No real plans today. I am going to try to tinker with the vette to figure out the location/plumbing/mounting/design of my trans cooler that I need to purchase and install. I am considering removing the front aux pusher fan and seeing if I have room in there. Worth a shot.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I have a week to get everything ready for vacation. Don't know why getting everything in order for the vacation takes as much time as the vacation. Of course, afterward you need a vacation to recover from vacation. It's a viscious cycle. I still have about 15 rods and reels to service to get them all ready for the year ahead. At least I'm moving in the right direction. Today is bathe the dog and work on paperwork day. Maybe I'll get a chance to take something for a ride. I don't need anything outside of the house so it would just be a pointless cruise. Then again, there is always tomorrow. Dinner for tonight is already made. We're having leftovers. (Still yawning) Need my second cup of coffee.

I'm on PV - permanent vaca

The last vacation I took was in the early '80's, went to the beech - it sucked.

I stopped by Joe's (67 resto) to see how the new shop is coming along. He has the lift put together, floor painted, etc.

He was unloading his 24 ft. trailer, it was full of those large, plastic storage tubs, maybe 30 or them. They were all full of C2 parts.

I wish. The problem is that I have all the parts I need EXCEPT for the parts that have to be brand new, wheel bearings, engine/trans internals, carpet, seat covers, headliner, door panels etc. And the parts that need replating - chrome, zinc, dicad , the plating is big bucks.

Joe also has 2 - '63 Grand Sport doors - $$$$$$$$

Car salesman (sic) from Alaska.

He's owned Corvettes as long as I have and has been building restos on the side for a long time.
He collected Corvette parts - I went racing.

He had a the trailer full but he said he sold twice as many parts before he moved here.

I could also tell you about my buddie, Alex that has a 67 Z28, a matched pair of 57 Fuelies and 6 C2's (all NCRS Top Flight) but...............

This 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting.
When she went before the judge in Cincinnati he asked her, "What did you steal?

She replied, "A can of peaches."

The judge then asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches,
and she replied that she was hungry.

The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can.

She replied, "6."

The judge said, "Then I will give you 6 days in jail."

Before the judge could conclude the trial, the woman's husband spoke up
and asked the judge if he could say something.

The judge said, "What is it?"

The husband said, "She also stole a can of peas."

A wife being the romantic sort, sent her husband a text..............

"If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me

He replied........"I am taking a poop. What should I do?"

Two hours into my first day of work as a WalMart greeter, an ugly woman came in with her two kids.

Hearing her swear at them, I said, "Good morning, welcome to... WalMart. Nice kids, are they twins?"

The mom answered, "Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why would you think they're twins? Are you blind or stupid?"

I replied, "I'm not blind or stupid. I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day, and thank you for shopping at WalMart."

My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work.

Will I be eligible for unemployment?

Well, as much as Bill pooh-poohed my choice to use Quicken Loans for my refinance, I have been extremely pleased with the process so far. Just got off the phone with them. The closing is scheduled for next week, in my dining room at 6 pm. Out of all of my refi's I've never had it be so convenient. All I need is to be present and have a check for my tax escrow account. Closing costs were under what I wanted to pay, and the interest rate is better than I could have expected. Whole process is going to have been completed in under 2 weeks. I am thoroughly impressed and I would recommend them to anyone.

Client: “It says, hit any key and when I do that nothing happens'.
TB: Can you try again and tell me what happens?
Client: 'Tried but nothing”
TB: “What key did you hit?

After a moment and some clanking sound the customer replied: Well, first I tried my car key and just now my office key.

That's great Matt...and fast also....we are like 60 to 90 days out on ours because of the backlog.....I used to do the same with my C4 for DRL's...that or turn on the parking lights.....around here it's the big pickups that leave their fog lights on that bug me....

In Florida, a right to work state, you can fire a worker for any reason. So in the same vein, you could fire an employee for being distractingly ugly.

I stopped at Gary's shop, he must be workin' a bit harder than I am.

The owner of the truck was there, I had to really hold back and not ask him WTF's with the colors.
